Add a quiver to hold arrows
Let's begin with the QUIVER that every archer must have; the quiver serves as an "INVENTORY" for arrows, and in it, you can store all types of arrows available in the game, which are numerous. There could be a limit of 1000 arrows per type, which may seem like a lot, but considering that the BOW is the primary weapon of an archer, it is quite reasonable.

KDragon MergedHaving a sperate inventory space for spells and arrows would be super helpful! Either a book or a quiver you hold in your inventory that condenses all the items, or a slot on the character screen, like the backpack, that you can make and equip to hold spells and arrows. Can be upgradeable like the backpacks, and gives another use to gathering the old books to increase the size of your spellbook.

Styyxthat would be great, maybe something similar for mages and their spells as well?

KegaranI like the idea, but maybe instead of all arrow types it works as a secondary inventory which can be improved. That way if someone does not like scrap arrows for example they can take more flint (early example). And increasing the stack size to 1k instead of 500 would also be a great help

oh.its.a.fayeSame goes for the spells! Having blocked 5 inventory slots all the time becauser of my spells is annoying...

LordhighFixxer MergedAs a dedicated scout/archer I use my bow 99% of the time and as such I carry a lot of ammunition. I at times have 6 types of arrows in my inventory. From the upper tier Iron and Fossilized to the copper and flint I use in lower tier zones plus the explosive and flare utility arrows.

I would -gladly- sacrifice the shield item spot on my character for a quiver item to place my arrows in so that my main inventory is not using up so much space for ammo. -

jing42 MergedI suggest an eternal magical quiver for basic arrows. Progression of crafting from Flint, Scrap, Copper, etc when new basic arrow types are added. Recommend requiring Hunter and Alchemist to craft eternal quiver. Held in inventory like eternal spells.

ultimategrungoA spellbook for mages, a quiver for rangers. I like this idea.

Nikolas MoreyI would say a spell tome or a grimorie and the quiver is a great idea but instead of increasing the stack number, it should limit the types of arrows and spells. The first quiver/grimorie available has only 1 inventory slot while the fully upgraded one has 3. (you can always carry more in your inventory it will just take up space).

MaFaYes, I gave a suggestion for the mage as well. In the case of the mage, it would be a GRIMOIRE, a magical book that would be beside the mage, and this magical book would serve as an inventory for all the spells in the game.

Folke MergedAdd a visual quiver if you equip a bow, Its just not very aesthetic if the charakter pulls the Arrow out of nowhere. Maybe it could also have a mechanic, where you can put all your arrow stacks into the quiver. Maybe the quiver could fit into the backpack slot?

DreadEye2020I'd like to have magic quivers that could improve stats like drawing speed or accuracy and so on.

GorniI can offer you that too.
The spell book serves as a spell repository. -

Cali6anHow about getting to the old "I need more twigs" problem at the same time and giving the different tiers of quivers a % chance to not use an arrow (= returning it/picking it up after use). This could drastically reduce ammo consumption in late game.

KriyekKinda agree with this but I could see it as way to enchant. Instead of elemental arrows taking additional slots, just make the quiver enchant the arrows inside, add some fun properties like "chance to not consume arrow" or "ricochet" for "damage per dex" or "heavy" for strength damage scaling. For magic ammunition, make the staff an inventory. Higher rarities could hold more. This would allow someone like a healer to switch staves instead of mouse wheeling mid combat to the correct spell. Give the staves fun properties like "echo" after a short delay the spells trigger a second time at "damage per int" or, "exploooosion" spells casted blast the area.

TheExplosivePWould be good to have it so quiver and Grimoire would allow you to order arrows and spells so when scrolling through when using the bows and staffs the arrows and spells appear in the order you like them to appear. This would save having to remove all ammo and put it back into inventory in the order you want them to appear in.

WonderbreadxAlso doing a spell book for the same type of set up would be great as well.

SarcoptesA thousand arrows are too much to carry IMO. I was suggesting a magical quiver with limited arrows (mana base) via a quest and different quest to put different enchantment (fire, frost, poison) on your arrow. Magical arrows are like eternal spell for mages.

D2s MergedWould be nice to have an arrows quiver or a mage book, that could give stats or not. Could be instead of the shild. It could be crafted from npc. Also alow it to be toggle on/off to show it on our characters. Whole just be cool to see it on our back or hip in this great game. Keep up the good work! All the best from me

EkaterinaA bag for arrows and a book for spells. It just feels unfair to force players to use most of their inventory space for spells and arrows if they choose to play the archer or the mage. Even worse if you're an archer-mage hybrid.

Matthewhaving a quiver with 12 spots for arrows 500 each just like regular inventory is what we need. "with added effect of firing faster by 5%
bows need some real love. i carry that on me at all times. when im out and about that means my backpack is less. than everyones.
it would be REALLY nice to have a extra slot for it. so everyone can carry one without giving up something -

BluSleeperAnd in this regard, spellbooks to hold spells.

Volhund MergedCrafting requirements for arrows don't exactly limit us, they're just an inconvenience which is poor QoL. You can go and grind like 4 full stacks of arrows and just fire away without a care, they may as well be infinite at that point. A better system I think would be if we had to craft a quiver for each arrow type, and then when the quiver reaches 0 durability we run out of arrows, but picking up generic arrows found in the environment or on enemy drops will restore durability on the quiver, and using an anvil or workbench would also restore quiver durability to full. The only exception here would be the eternal frost arrows.

EscynturelI agree with this 100%
Mages need spellbooks, and archers need quivers. It feels bad to be nerfed on inventory space because you're playing a resource based role. I already suffer for inventory space without the added stress of trying to be a mage. If its a balance concern, you could limit the slots so that players have to choose which things they want in their loadout before leaving home.
Even worse, they have a hybrid build encouraged in the skill tree between int and dex builds. Imagine carrying arrows and spells... It hurts.
Inventory management is one of my least favorite things in a game, and the archers and mages have it really bad. -

LibertyI love my arrows. I have 6 atm and a row is 8 slots, they take up a fair bit. And I'll collect more arrows obviously. So a quiver and getting them out of my inventory is a great idea. Btw thanks for all the devs are doing for this game, it's totally amazing as time goes by :)

pufaeysseYes indeed. Seems kinda unfair to archers and mages, that their backpack is always half full, while melee fighters don't even need to fill their quickbars

Dustys DemonsIt would be great to have an armory for all the weapons & ammo. the weapons stands & wall units are great. it would be good to have boxes that display the different weapons. So we can build & decorate a complete armory with rows of bombs, arrows etc.

aRatThis is a great idea. Since so many of the skill tree stuff for dexterity is about the bow, we are very encouraged to use it, but then so many blocks of inventory for different arrows. Once you get the flurry of arrows skills, 500 arrows is suddenly not that many.

GreenskyeI would like this as well so that randomly picked up arrows aren't suddenly in my arrow selection menu. I can't build any sort of muscle memory around arrow selection because it frequently changes and can be very bad (accidentally shooting an explosive arrow to kill a mob in your base for example).
