Serpentaurus MergedAs of now, the game runs 24-30FPS on Steam Deck even on performance modes, with spikes. Is it possible to optimize it for Steam Deck to reach stable 30FPS at reasonable quality settings?

Cody GallWould love to get a stable 40 fps! Which should definitely be possible with optimizations. Games like Cyberpunk are much more graphically intensive but runs at high FPS

MrSlayerYes just controller support and making sure some combination of options allows for a stable 30 fps even at later stages of the game with complex bases would do it.

NickI only own a steam deck and have played this game for about 2 hours. I love the core gameplay and I think this game is perfect for the handheld experience but I do think this game needs more optimisation for the deck. I hope this gets more upvotes. The game needs performance boosts for the handheld.

Hot bar radial menu compatibility would be awesome. Right now when I set it up that way on the deck, executing the command also uses the item.
Continuous scrolling would be amazing.
Building "snapping" is so hard to aim on the deck. What things are snapping to what? Am I aiming corner to corner? Side to side?
I've remapped a lot the controls, so it really takes advantage of the steam deck, but there are things that can't work right yet. For example. In the layout, there is no LT command assigned. But in game, LT is used for aiming and for opening the build menu. So LT can't be reassigned if there's no assignment there to move elsewhere.
This is exactly my kind of game and I would love to get the steam deck supported and mapped! -

The Archlich MergedHey folks, this is more a feedback than suggestion. Enshrouded seems to run just fine on steam Deck, at least in Single player (I haven't played with anyone else yet) so you might want to push through the steam deck verified process

AnidniI have 60+ hrs on steam deck. I don't care about fps numbers, I can play the game just fine. Better support for controllers is all I wish for. : )

Timo SchmidtPeople asking to make Enshrouded 'Deck Verified' are missing an important point: Being Deck Verified doesn't guarantee great performance on the handheld. It's unfortunate, but Vale primarily uses this approval badge for marketing. It's not inherently a bad thing, but it may not necessarily help in this case. Better inputs would also be beneficial, but there are more critical improvements needed to enhance the Deck experience.

Instead, I'd like to see some engine improvements, such as good environmental occlusion culling. This would significantly benefit devices with limited power and processing capabilities like the Deck. I've attempted to contact Keen Games, both on social media and through my press contacts, to provide detailed feedback and share my findings after hours of tweaking and benchmarking... I understand that it's challenging to implement bespoke rendering features for such an in-house engine (which I genuinely appreciate, by the way), but it's worth it!
