wood to twigs crafting conversion

I am sure many have this problem already, but twigs are really rare compared to wood. we need a solid conversion rate to get twigs from wood. make it same like fiber to string

Please increase the amount of twigs you receive when either gathering from bushes and tress. Trying to play an archer feels like i spend 1/3 of my time just grinding twigs to make arrows.

Twigs are actually one of the more annoying resources to gather in the game. If you want to craft something better than wooden arrows (which already require you to mass-gather twigs practically one at a time), you need to ALSO spend lots of time gathering your particular resource (flint, meta, copper, etc.) on top of that.

Even if you end up crafting hundreds of arrows for your effort, you end up going through them almost as fast as you crafted+gathered them.

I love the playstyle of ranger, I've always love using the bow in games, and this game is no exception.
However there is one thing that is making me wanting to swap to another build, and that is the amount of time i spend farming twigs in this game. After every single big adventure (maybe 2) i gotta go back to the forest and spend 10-30 min farming twigs.

Suggestion is, just like mages, who can eventually craft eternal fireball for example, to let rangers craft eternal arrows. Maybe that would make it to easy or whatever for a ranger, in that case make the crafts give you more arrows, or lower the amount of mats needed per craft.

In any case the amount of time i have to spend farming twigs is getting out of hand while my friends mostly just repair and are ready to go again.

Currently you have to hard grind for resources, especially twigs for ammo while mages have infinite spells with the eternal progression. Find a way in which you can make it reasonable to pursue a pure archery path.

I think increasing the amount of twigs players get per trees and bushes will make the bow weapon more enjoyable. Right now, It feels more like a chore as a bow player to go get twigs and make arrows with this low amount of twigs trees and bushes give you.

Maybe just remove twigs from the game and use logs.
Change "Logs" to "Wood" if it sounds too weird to turn an enormous log into a bunch of arrows.
Another idea would be to allow crafting arrows from twigs as can be done now, but if you craft from a workbench, you can use logs instead and make hundreds of arrows from a few logs that way.
Do whatever is the simplest option here.

The need to roam the world searching for 20 twigs to make arrows should be simplified. I understand I can make a huge shrub farm at one of my bases, but it doesn't match the vibe of this game. Due to the multi-shot spec when finishing off an enemy that has 2 health my skill will proc and send 2 arrows uselessly into the wind sending my precious arrows into the void. Being able to retrieve arrows fired would be a neat but I believe players should be able to break down pieces of wood into twigs for Archer builds. If I can create all these beautiful cosmetics out of wood, why not arrows.

Yes, I agree. Twigs from any type of wood (Wood Logs, Hardwood, Palm Wood, Shroud Wood, etc.). My tougher activities are generally stalled because I need to go farm for twigs.

Twigs in the early game come from bushes and trees, sometimes, when chopped. As the game progresses you will uncover "burrows" or animal dens which have twig floors and walls which can be mined. In this last form, with an iron pickaxe, you are lucky to come back from a single burrow with 120-140 twigs. The burrow takes 10 mins to fully mine and often times requires the pickaxe to be repaired. In short this is a tedious and more importantly -manual- loop for acquiring twigs that seriously detracts from your playtime because after that you have to go get the material for making the arrowhead and if on upper tier arrows, also feathers.

Love the bow but stopped using them due to how tedious twigs seem to be to gather for arrow crafts. The solution I propose is to add a Wood to Twig craft. I Always have every other material for all arrow crafts but run out of twigs before Iron and this seems wrong. Or maybe even give bushes higher yields? Enshrouded is great by the way!

I agree but needs to be balanced. Making arrows should take time and shouldn't make arrows a non issue. Gathering bushes is very low for gathering. Mining wolf and pigo den's is improved. Then making them from maybe hardwood for higher damage arrows? Just some way so that the game won't looses the need to watch your arrow use so you don't run out.

Just remember to login fresh again after you cleared bushes around your house as it doesn't come back until restart. That will save you a lot of time collecting.

The branches are all good, I agree that it is necessary to either reduce the cost of production, or the possibility of crafting from logs... but either no one has looked at further recipes for arrows, or no one has thought about it... There will still be feathers, something needs to be decided with them too, to make it possible to breed birds (running in the desert) for meat and feathers.
Another option is to leave the production of arrows as is, but by analogy with magicians, make the production of endless arrows (quiver), conditionally, from 500-1000 arrows of the desired type, you can make an endless quiver. Only then will the time spent collecting ingredients be justified. Don't forget, there are poisoned arrows, the explosive ingredients there are not much simpler and the branches in them are generally a trifle.

If you look at the assassins branch, it is generally impossible to play. Stealth... everything is good, of course, but not only is stealth not applicable everywhere. Also explosives or EXPLOSIVE ARROWS (made from flint arrows, if I'm not mistaken) and if the problem with them is not solved, then the skills to use them will be useless.
And it turns out that even after solving the problem of making arrows from branches, other problems will remain, such as feathers, explosive arrows, poisonous arrows, signal arrows and others. When I saw what the next arrows were made of, I simply got upset, ran around with wooden ones, and then gave up on the whole thing. As a result, I run around as a mage and have fun, although I want to be an archer

The problem is that you play as an archer, it's an awfully long arrow farm. The mage's skills often drop, and the damage is significant, and archers spend from 600 to 800 arrows per battle, and you try to make them. I ask you to consider increasing the loss of branches when cutting down trees

I agree with many here that there needs to be a conversation from wood logs to twigs. I would offer a suggestion of somewhere between 3 to 4 twigs per log. There are many players that do not enjoy farming on solo mode. and this would benefit them greatly. I like to dabble in all classes, so I'm not opposed to farming (even though currently she is broken when needing a shelter, which I did report).

About 40 hours of play so far, pure archer. It's a lot of fun but I need about 1000 arrows per session at least (not even exaggerating). So far the best way I've found is to go to the jungle by the Revelwood tower and chop saplings for 2-6 twigs apiece. Still really slow going as I need 400 to hope to last the entire length of a play session.

I think having _some_ way to craft twigs would be only fair, as mages get eternal spells. I know that at least in the early game the devs probably want mages/archers to be farming for the resources they need, but it would be nice if archers could have an equivalent to eternal spells in order to make their lives a bit easier.

Making arrows its ridiculous

1.There should be an option in some woodcutter to cut wood into sticks/twig to get very high amount of resources to craft arrows.
Playing like an archer and farming for 30 minutes for sticks to produce arrows is so annoying.

2. digging in birds nest in desret for twig should give us 5-10 twig for one hit not just 1.

Farming twigs/arrows is definitely one of the more taxing things in the game (even with mining/planting crops) considering how fast you burn through them with an Archer build. If not this, at least increase the numbers of twigs when harvesting/mining them.

There would be no need for that if the arrow cost in twigs was reduced. Just need too much of it for how fast arrows are consumed.
