make night time more dangerous/ base defense
it would be super cool if there were tougher enemies/world boss that only spawn at night time that can drop better loot/weapons that can only be obtained by them. it would give purepose to exploreing at night time. another thing that would be cool is a base defense mechanic where your base can get raided by a variety of enemies that get tougher as the game progresses, similar to Valheim.

Crimson MergedCurrently the only real threat outside of the shroud is wolves and rats and sometimes a strong hold, and those are sparse around the surrounding areas, id like to see some variety of enemies to increase dynamic play experience and to help with difficulty scaling, night time isn't really a threat see how the only thing that you have to be afraid of is falling of a cliff. I think having stronger monsters roam and maybe having more scary (possibly bigger) mobs roam around making full use of the stealth and night experience.

OrionoxHighly agree, we need enemies that seek us out and try to kill us.

WashingtonCouldnt agree more with this. The night and day system is fantastic but what would make it great would be unique night only enemies spawning.
Something like a knight cavalry mob that wonders roads and emit the shroud around them. Werewolves that lurk in the highlands that hide in caves at day but roam at night. Flying skeleton dragons that swoop down in the high-tier zones emitting a green breath as they fly by. -

MichaelI would like to downvote this. I like that my base is safe and this is why I left Valheim. Please make it optional if implemented, it's awful.

AvatarNight time is already super dangerous because the game is pitch black at night and I can't see anything anywhere. It's far more dangerous if I'm in the shroud at the time as well.

PinkiesbrainI think that it being dark already makes things harder at night but I like the idea of having maybe other / more / stronger monsters at night.

If bases become raidable I still think its great.
That raidable bases are not for everyone is probably clear by now. I think it is almost important to make monsters attack our bases. I do not even have doors in my base. It makes things quicker but also does not motivate me to spend love to my base. -

Charles StitmanI agree. In safer areas the night time raids are easily thrown back. In tougher areas you need to clear more and build tougher defneses. But allow night raids to be toggled.

AndrewIt would be interesting to defend your base from night creatures. For example your character could wake up from sleep when enemy steps at your base

TraceI would like to see the base threatened - like if you don't have a door a wolf can wander in. If you don't have a reinforced door then a humanoid mob could come in. Escalating danger in higher zones, but maybe better comfort achievable in those zones to make it worth it. Add a reason to build a tough base, and not just squat permanently in the start zone.

Minecraft fanThe shroud should be made to be absolutely deadly at night. Mobs you don't see during the day appear and wander outside the shroud to encourage players to actually use their homes to sleep.

AudrickWolfHuge downvote. I don't play base defense games for that fact. I hate to need to defend and rebuild everything that I worked towards. I love the exploration aspect of this game and not needing to worry about my base at night/day/whenever. If you do go this route, PLEASE make it optional.

RichardIf playing solo it is nice to be able to go somewhere that it is safe to say if need to step a way for a few minutes. If implement things like base attacks and roaming mobs, please make them optional.
