  Its kind of crazy that you can walk down a 1 ft slope and get launched down it at about mach 6. Slopes need more grip than they currently have that is appropriate to their size and the directional inertia of the player along with the grade of the slope.

  Started sliding on a small slope (maybe 5%-10%) and next thing I knew I was going down a entire cliff face at super speed

  slipping is the most aggrevating thing as well, been times im perfactly happy having a blast and just randomly slip to my death. very nearly uninstalled once because it happened like 12 times in one area i had to navigate through. felt like i was being punished for exploring.

  I absolutely love this game. If I had the power to change something, the slippery slopes would be the first thing to change. When I grind my way up a mountain, as it seems to be intended at least at some points, I had countless situations, where I stood firmly somewhere while hacking at the stone, moved one step forward and slipped back, but not to the point where I started, but way back down the hill without a chance to stop unless I jump, glide or hack panicked at my keyboard during my unintended descent. It is just horrible.

  I dislike how we go turbo mode when we hit a certain degree of downslope. Wish we had a climb/ hand grip kind of deal, because most cases a person runs outta stamina climbing a mtn they're not just going to let go and slide at light speeds. I get we will fall of a cliff but even slight hillsides just propels at high speeds.

  It wouldn't be so bad if the wacky momentum didn't force me to slide backwards across 10ft of horizontal ground only to go careening down even more cliff.

  Every time I try to walk on a slight slope, I slide down it like I'm on ice. I'd like it if that didn't happen quite so easily. I understand sliding down very steep terrain, but I just slid off a grassy hill with a 25 degree slope to my death like I was standing on glare ice. It definitely makes exploring a lot less fun when you're constantly incapable of walking on anything other than mostly flat ground. I'm not saying we should be able to walk up walls or anything, but there should be more leniency here when I can walk up much steeper terrain IRL, yet my adventurer slips and falls off a slight angle.

  Amazing game but i think we can all admit the slopes are way to slippery and im tired of going down a hole i dug in the side of a mountain and then i just slip and fall 20 times trying to get up it even if its not very steep
  
  Edit: i had a idea, keep the rocks the same slipperiness but add some spiked climbing shoes to put in a slot to improve surface traction so its more of a progression to be able to climb better

  Scaling steep inclines needs some work. Too often I find myself on an incline that I cant walk/run up, I'll use a pickaxe to cut some steps to jump, but when I go to jump, while holding forwards, my char hits a wall/object, does a 180 and instantly runs back off what I just jumped up, normally sending me further down then when I just was. If my camera is facing the direction I want to go, pressing forward should only send my character in that direction, in this case, "hugging" the incline I'm trying to traverse.

  Zelda already figured out how to handle this. Don't make slopes slippery everywhere, just make climbing cost stamina if you don't want players to be able to get over obstacles easily.
