Frustated gamer? MergedThe time it takes to lose durablility is short on everything. I find my self having to back and forth again and again and again and again and that makes the game tedious and boringly frustrating. Having to always be replenishing everything makes it a job and not a game that is fun. I'm 70yrs old and I need a setting for easy for old man setting. And you need more video setting so my fan isn't constantly humming and working hard to keep my cpu cool? I have turned down all your settings but it isn't enuf to keep my computer cool like when I play classic SOD.

Basically a wonderful game.
Build
Produce
quests
Vicinity
background noise
and much more, just great.
BUT
This repair system is the worst joke in a long time.
Hopefully one of the next things to come into the game will be REPAIR KITS!
SO it's no fun. No quest can be completed without taking two breaks to repair the Main Weapon ( maybe just a melee Problem ? )... -

Just My Opinion MergedI find the low durability of basically every item unnecessarily annoying. Carrying an extra flame keeper and workbench around to repair is not fun. Being able to place a temporary workbench that expires would be fine. Good weapons do not drop that often so trying to have 2-3 just to get through a 20 minute session seems poor design.

BattlelockI suggest a Whetstone. Made from easily available materials like Flint, Stone and Fiber. Should restore about 15% Durability, Only stack to 5, as it should be a sacrifice of loot space for convenience. Blacksmith could be given recipes for better quality Whetstones.

AvatarI don't want repair kits, just get rid of durability entirely. Imagine if Terraria had durability, that's what we have here. Does anyone know why we have durability?

AlexThere are a lot of the anvil repair stations spread around the ruins etc, but yeah I'd like an item like this.

Dylan Hoke MergedIt would be awesome to have a portable repair kit so that we can in field repair without having to run all the way back sometimes we need to just finish the mission. Also it would be interesting to see a repair kit for bows like a restring kit a weapon polishing kit a tool repair kit and wand and stave repair kits respectively. gives us more things to craft and be strategic with.

ZurudRepair kits sound great!
I also think that repairing the equipment shouldn't be free
Craftable repair sets would ease the grind a little and thus strengthen long-term motivation and also solve the problem of having to constantly go back to repair your stuff
Also, not only weapons should be broken, but also the armor should be broken and when it is broken it no longer provides any attributes -

Cali6anCraft a flame altar, craft a workbench, take them with you - pronto!

AlrixxCraftable anvil would be great for a repair tool, something you could create after collecting enough <metal type>.

leftcoastfunkI agree craft-able portable repair kits would be cool. A lot of players just always save one flame altar slot for similar reason (as Cali6an posted above), but a portable repair kit would be a more elegant solution
Of note, idk if everyone knows the skill tree has a skill in the center starting circle which increases durability of all items - I've found that incredibly useful. Haven't stayed out long enough to break a weapon since adding that skill, and for mining I'm typically just about getting bored anyway when my pickaxe finally breaks (or it gets too dark lol)
