Lin MergedLet us limit framerate not just when it's not the main window. Not everyone wants to run a game at unlimited FPS or even higher than 60. Unlimited FPS makes PCs run harder than they need to and does not improve the overall experience of any game that isn't a First Person Shooter.
-

Žak MergedFor some reason even though im running it at 200 fps the game feels very slow like its capped at around 60fps. Im wondering if this will be changed in the future since the game feels unplayable for me now that im used to higher refresh rates

Isai Alcântara MergedMost of the time, for a visually impaired person like myself, the background transparency effects in the menu make it too bright, reducing contrast and making it harder to read the text and to discern between items with icons that look alike. Please, add an option to the UI settings to disable the backgroud transparency effects in the menu, and check if the contrast between the menu backgroud and the text is high enough.
I suggested checking the guidelines in the WCAG 2.0 to evaluate the menu contrast ratios. -

konjeah MergedPlease add an option to limit the framerate to 60/90/120/etc - my computer is working overtime, even though I already put in the option "performance". You already have the option to limit the framerate while in windows, however I did not find an option ingame.
Thank you very much in advance. -

D4ngrs MergedThe Game really loogs washed out and "too bright". MAybe it's the overal bloom which is too hight, but having a way to reduce the brightness or increase the contrast would be amazing

TheDarkWeeb MergedI would like to hide individual parts of the HUD instead of just hide it all or not. This would include enemy healthbars, stamina bars, etc. Also I'd like to make the lock on camera much closer. Seems the camera distance option doesn't affect this.
-

splonk Mergedi literally tried to clean my glasses thinking that was the problem lol... please let us turn off the blurry TAA and/or add sharpening options! this can genuinely cause eye strain issues for people so it's a health/accessibility concern.

Astreiss MergedHello,
My fiancee suffers from Misophonia, which is a disorder that triggers a strong reaction from specific sounds. The sounds of eating and drinking are sounds which triggers her Misophonia, including those from eating/ drinking in Enshrouded. My suggestion/wish would be to have a setting that mutes eating/drinking sounds. I know this sounds mundane, but it can be a big deal to some people, not just for myself and my fiancee.
Thank you. -

Petar Stanchev MergedCannot find a slider to adjust the brightness of the game, it looks too bright during the day, while at night time it is ok /pointing this to explain why monitor only will not fix it/. May be add some tools, so players can set it the way they feel it is best for them?
-

noodlydoodly MergedWould like to be able to choose which hud elements to hide, for example: hide the compass, hide health/mana, hide stamina circle, and/or hide the journal. Alternatively, the "Hide HUD" option in the Esc. menu should still show the context key, i.e. hides all the hud, but still shows the "press 'E' to collect stone" button, or the 'E' for grapple locations.
-

Brendan MergedI love this game, but I have to stop playing after so long because the strain on my eyes is really bad and causing headaches. Please allow us to change brightness and gamma settings. Some of us need it for accessibility!

Lucie MergedHello,
Having a cursor in the game would be really good for computer players, as it would make a lot of things easier including in combats.
I'm used, for decades, to be able to move the camera with my mouse only when the right or left click is held (one is only camera moving, the other is cam + character).
In return, it means the game has to have a mouse cursor int he gaemplay, that is not the case here.
This lead me to another point of what I'm suggesting here : motion sickness.
I am prone to motion sickness unfortunately, as many people in the world. Low-sensivility helps a bit but is not the best :'(
Being able to move the camera independantly from the character is a super good feature for people like me.
The option of the right and/or left click held while moving the mouse is the best option I found in many games to let the player free of doing hat he wants about the movements.
A bigger max cam distance is also efficient against motion sickness
Thank you in adv -

Montrese MergedYeah, I've never seen a game which such HORRIFIC bloom. It's like when a flashbang is done erupting and you're still recovering your vision, except its the ENTIRE DAYLIGHT PORTION OF THE GAME. Very disappointed. Might return over this. Currently unplayable.

Brutally Eating Lettuce MergedCan we have these please? With the large amount of fog in game, it often looks washed out. HDR would fix that, but in absence of HDR can we get some control sliders for brightness and gamma ?

Sean MergedReally need to tone down the lighting level all together or reduce bloom. It looks like a hazy headache.

Ethreix MergedAll of the UI needs massive scaling down from its current size, at least on a 42" monitor with 3840x2160 display resolution. I think this is monitor-dependent, therefore a UI scale slider in settings would do it. As it stands now, the action bar alone on my monitor is about 30cm long, almost the length of my keyboard, which is too much.
-
25 Jan, '24
CosmicShark MergedUsually we like specific FOV values, 75 or 90 or 105. The slider doesn't have any numeric values. Same for camera distance.

WW MergedHi there, I thought I should add a little elaboration to my original suggestion:
- "hurt my eyes" is a literal expression, looking at the bloom makes me wince
- The fog I'm referring to is the post processed looking stuff that blows along ground level, not the volumetric looking stuff in shrouded areas
- Said fog seems to have a synergistic reaction with the sunlight to produce the "flashbang" effect
- I suspect that there may be some kind of auto-exposure effect contributing to this as well
Thanks :) -

Alex MergedBloom, Motion Blurr, Vignete, and any "artistic" filter or post-processing effect should have the option to be disabled it is like a barf for the eyes, you playing a game, not a photo shoot.
The game feels too bright, during the day and too dark during the night, the transition between day and night is too abrupt; -
25 Jan, '24
Z MergedAs a stopgap solution you can use a sharpening filter with ReShade to make things significantly better looking.

Loot Repeat MergedYou should be able to limit the framerate in your graphics settings. I know you can in nvidia control panel, as I always have my framerate limited to 60 for every game.
-
25 Jan, '24
AJ MergedI also agree--the bloom hurts my eyes and makes the daylight portion of the game physically uncomfortable. I had to step away from the game yesterday because of eyestrain. Bloom is always one of the first things I disable or turn down in games for this reason. The gameworld has beautiful, vibrant colors, and yet I can't see them half the time due to the bloom flashbang effect during the day. The game feels far too bright and washed out in certain areas because of this.
-
25 Jan, '24
Radical_80s_Kid MergedBloom during the day is making it difficult to see through shroud or fog. It is blinding.
-
25 Jan, '24
Tracey MergedHi, first off thank you for a fun game. But is there something in the settings I can use to turn the brightness up in the Shrouded areas so it's not so dark. I am visually impaired and can function i those areas very little, if at all.

Brandon MergedThe bloom is making the game hard to play. It is so bright and washed out it is hard for me to look at the game during the daytime. If this is how it is supposed to look, we at least need an option to turn it down/off. Not sure if this is a bug or not.

AI MergedDon't understand how glaring (pun intended) things like this get out the door? TBH if the digging wasn't so good, I wouldn't still be playing. As of now I'm living underground and only go out at night. Its become something of a RP situation with my friends, so I've found a way to still have fun but seriously. Don't just add a bloom feature. Remove it from the handbook of things to put in games. There is a limit to what "realism" is acceptable in games. Glare and bloom is never fun IRL why would anyone want it in a game?

Zebercet MergedI refunded the game because of the extreme default gamma setting of the game. When a brightness + gamma + bloom slider is added to the game I will buy it again. However, for such an fundamental thing to be missing gives me the feeling that this is ''what devs intended''.
Honestly, I don't know why this made me so angry and turned me into a Karen writing this long message here. Am I a vampire or something? I have never seen such bad day light simulation in any game in the last 25 years. I can't stand it! -

GrumblesTheDwarf MergedWhen crafting items there is a "flash" or highlighting to show that something was triggered/completed. This is a little excessive on the eyes, and when crafting many items such as hundreds of building blocks, this is irritating and might impact people with light sensitivity issues.
In addition: when moving or sitting/standing near the edge of a rest/comfort area, the upper left of the screen can go into a constant loop of "resting/comfort score" and no such window shown, which flashes repeatedly on and off and is irritating and might cause light sensitivity issues. -
26 Jan, '24
Jon MergedNot sure if bloom is the sole culprit here or if brightness/gamma is playing a part as well. At times during gameplay scenes can appear very washed out however and this problem even extends into the user interface and the pause menu.
-

27 Jan, '24
Cam MergedLoving the game so far, but the bloom and fog is really distracting at times. At certain times of day, its totally fine, but transitioning from dark to light is far too intense and certain areas of dungeons can be incredibly difficult to see because of sun beams. I also have been noticing that in my house ill sometimes see "fog" in the corners of the room that is less than appealing. I think it would be a good thing in general to have an option to disable bloom and fog (or at least tone fog down since its an important part of the game) not only for personal preference, but for performance reasons on lower end machines as well.

caldugen MergedWould like to see a keybind for toggling the HUD. After death with the HUD disabled, I couldn't remember the keybind to rez and had to close the game. While one could open the menu every time, I feel this would be more convenient. I would also like to see an auto-hide feature, where the HUD might appear in combat or perhaps when visiting POIs (customizable, hopefully). I know, I know, we gamers just can't be happy with what we get. :p Peace
-
27 Jan, '24
James MergedIncrease saturation of the games color pallet. While I do like the look of the game, at times I cant help but feel like everything is just a bit washed out looking. The glare of the sun doesn't help with this. If there were a menu setting that allows the player to increase or decrease saturation the game would really come alive with vibrancy.

Margo MergedI'd like to support this.
I suffer with arachnophobia, but thankfully, video-games don't usually trigger me. That said, I will always make use of arachnophobia options if they are available.
Unfortunately, my partner is severely arachnophobic. He's unable to even look at a static photograph of a spider in a book. It's something that has forced us to rule out a number of games in the past - especially ones in this genre. There are so many wonderful gaming experiences that the two of us have been unable to share, simply because spider enemies are such a common enemy design.
For a game like 'Grounded' I do see them as an essential addition, considering the theme and setting. For games such as this - I don't see them as such, and I would love to see developers move away from arachnid enemy designs in favour of something new or unique.
Modding or native arachnophobia modes are essential, but must include removal or change of sound design. -

Joltaxe MergedDaytime burns way too bright, nightime is pitch black. Almost need two different sliders or just one total adjustment. I feel like I'm staring into the sun during the day, and night is fine with a torch, until you are in combat and then you can't see anything at all.

99redquacks MergedAlmost the first thing I noticed watching a streamer in low light was that the crafting flash is incredibly retina burning. Same goes with the rested conditions updating constantly (already a separate request, I noticed) and the pinned recipes flashing brightly every time you either collect a pinned material or complete the recipe.
These flashes need to be toned down or have an option to disable them at least. They could possibly trigger seizures in some and be considered offputting by others. -

Ben MergedSo when I first encountered the spiders in this game I wasn't aware of them and one jumped out at me and I ended up flipping my desk chair over with me in it and broke the chair. I wasn't injured but knowing they were in the game I could deal with them, but definitely would love to have them changed to something else.
-

Zetharos MergedI would be more than happy even if you could change the hundreds of jumping spiders when breaking barrels. I am prepared for the mobs and can manage my phobia as long as I can fight them, but jump scare+arachnophobia is just too much.
-
28 Jan, '24
Defile MergedAs someone with terrible arachnophobia, I personally have never used an arachnophobia option. For me, the feelings the spiders cause me is part of the fun in a way. Like playing a horror game. The uncomfortable, creeped out, and sometimes terrified feeling in a safe context makes it fun to fight spiders in the same way it's fun to run from ghosts in Phasmophobia.
Keep in mind, I've literally walked out of my house and down the street because there was a spider on my computer desk. I, absolutely, cannot handle spiders near me. But in a video game, I think the feelings they evoke is part of the experience. -

Jordan Cooper MergedThis game, if possible, like if they could add it in with not much strain it honestly would be amazing to have a full screen exclusive setting and if possible, the ability to switch to Direct X 11 or 12 API. With running the Radeon Rx 7900 Xt having the ability to use my GPU software fully just by incorporating those two settings FPS would be insanely stable and maximize true potential of the game. Love this game it's so in-depth can't wait to see what happens to it with time. Again, these would be two cool features to add into game (Fullscreen Exclusive) and (ability to switch to Direct X 11 or 12 API).
-

osman MergedMaybe you'll consider adding Anti aliasing to your game. There is no such thing as everyone being an Nvidia user. FSR2 looks very bad in this game. Also, everyone who cannot optimize their game for some reason uses FSR or DLSS. I wish everyone would first optimize their game and then add these extra.

Again, these would be two cool features to add into game (Fullscreen Exclusive) and (ability to switch to Direct X 11 or 12 API).

Lukas MergedBloom in this game makes my eyes feel like looking at a nuclear explosion. It needs to be toned down and an option to disable it.

Foxglovez N MergedAs an accessibility option, this is on top of the list. For those of us with light sensitivity it's a game killer. I can't think of any game out there in 2024 that doesn't have an option to turn off bloom. The game is so washed out and glary it's hard to play. Please, please please. Look at accessibility options other games have and adopt them.
-
28 Jan, '24
Foxglovez N MergedGame should have this option, don't care about going through Invidia, want the game to do it as it is a game issue so need to take responsibility for option to control it, particularly if it is being throttled by game anyway. Other EA games do it, so that is not the issue.
-

Foxglovez N MergedThere is bloom and gamma and brightness - so two threads but it's all really hard on the eyes now. Please fix gamma, saturation, bloom. It's such a pretty game but now washed out and glare is terrible.

Belcher.Dewayne MergedI think a frame cap within the settings would be a huge improvement to performance consistency and my own personal peace of mind. I would prefer to cap frames at 60,80, 90, 100 .... whatever, and configure my graphical settings from there. It will help more players see how beautiful the world can be!

KingKooba MergedThe fog isn't bad outdoors, but having it roll through my walls and sit inside my closed building completely destroy the ambiance of all the lighting sources that the game has. Bloom obviously needs a slider.

Weebslayer27I had to mod the game, because the bloom made the game unplayable for me. I already struggle with blue light and have constant light filter on my screen. I got severe headache from eye strain within 5 minutes of playing the game. If we could get this slider or option turnoff the absurd brightness levels and Bloom it wouls be amazing.

gigax MergedThe fog in the shroud gives me a headache. I dont mean its difficult, I mean, it is straining and causing me to have a headache. I understand the thought behind it and can appreciate it, however, can you make it so once your in the shroud you have more visibility. Im blind in one eye so eye strain is a real issue. Make seeing into the shroud from the outside of it difficult so you can't know whats in it from looking from the outside, but when your in it, please lift the visibility.. OR make craftable lenses so you can see better in the shroud? IDK. I really am at the point where I don't want to play because of eye strain and headache.. LOVE THE GAME SO FAR OTHERWISE!! Cant wait to see what future plans are..
-
03 Feb, '24
jmacWhen you clear an elixir well and the shroud FULLY clears (the only time its actually every truly fog-less as far as I've seen), you see how gorgeous the game really is. The fog/bloom complete detracts from that.
-

RocketBillyPlease, seriously. Its 2024. If you aren't providing more graphics setting options for something as basic as bloom, chromatic aberration, and actual specific FOV values, it's seriously behind the times.
Day time is actually painful to play during. -
06 Feb, '24
FoxenBloom is just awful. Shroud is too much some times of day but had to leave game for several days due to eye strain from bloom in areas that are NOT in shroud. Game is very washed out due to fog. Please give us options.

QuinnLinSpeaking of accessibility options I'm concerned that this important accessibility option will go unnoticed. (Red/green color deficiencies. my husband and i agree that turning the deadly shroud and mycelium rivers a shade of yellow would be very beneficial.) It's sitting on the very bottom at 81 votes (at time of writing). My husband is affected by this and without me he'd have a rough time playing. People who were born with disabilities that they can't fix or control should be thought of and included. He shouldn't have to rely on his wife to guide dog him whenever we're exploring because his client cannot portray danger to him correctly.

RunixArachnophobia Mode would be nice, Pixel Spiders or Real Ones, they both trigger the fear regardless for those who have a severe fear of these due to IRL encounters that caused the phobia to become on a severe level.

Butterfly83The brightness is horrible for me. I’m not fond of getting flash banged. My eyes hurt! I’ve tried everything I can to dim it down and it’s still too bright. Please let us adjust this.

JKPlease fix the awful bloom on this wonderful game. For those of us with migraines and/or other light sensitivity issues this game is literally painful to play. I shouldn't have to use a bunch of mods and computer settings just to make this wonderful game barely playable. Please, fix this accessibility issue so I can continue playing with my friends! This game literally hurts to play.

FluffyPlease add a setting to disable completely the fog in shroud areas (and everywhere). It makes us dizzy and gives us nausea making the area a no go zone if we want to play.
We know we enter a shroud with the timer on top of screen anyway. And I'd rather play in potato mode than not play at all. -

Bael MergedPlease make the UI not increase in size when increasing the text size, or at least prevent the HP/MP bar from blocking the compass. Love the game so far! ZewksSo long after the game released in EA, and we still have zero new OPTIONS for things like this despite it being an industry standard across modern games.
This really should be a higher priority. I think its not because a lot of people never even think to bother looking for these options unless they become a problem (headaches, eye strain, migraines, seizures, etc) -

Tara MergedPlease spare a thought for older players or those with disabilities. People with poor eyesight often suffer fatal accidents due to unintentional falls... And for those with damaged joints, swinging around using a grappling hook can often turn into a time-consuming ordeal...
It would also be a huge help if these features could be enabled specifically within Private Worlds. -
