Option to pause Server without players
As title. I'm running a little home server for my friends. Even when the server is idle, shutting it down drops the power usage by ~10W, which doesn't sound like a lot, but with the server running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it adds up to 87,6 kWh
It's not terrible far up there in urgency, but it'd still be neat to not burn so much power for nothing.
Plus, maybe implementing this goes hand in hand with single player pause, who knows ^^

VaskyyI'm kinda wishing for that feature too since the release.
When no players are online the world still is loaded as if would be the case.
Would be nice to fully pause the server in order to save up on resources.
Minecraft f.e. has this feature where u can even configure the time the server needs to be empty to pause it.
Hytale that got into early release a few days ago also has this feature. -

PapaBearWould be nice to have a server pause as I know that is already an option when the start server command fails, it goes to a paused state. Just need to have a heartbeat to the game cloud so when someone connects it can spool up and start. After everyone leaves for 10 minutes it can pause again to conserve resources like pet food and whatnot.

TaimaishooEven idle, with no players, the server still has to keep track of weather, NPC locations and movement, plant growth, farm animals, etc., etc., etc., across the entire world. With that being said, I do agree there may be a little tweaking here and there, but after all, this is still early access. :)
