Map Marker Counter / Display how many map markers are left
Apparently, there is a cap on the number of map markers that can be displayed at one time. New markers will be registered, but will not display unless other markers are removed first. Whether intentional or not, please include a counter for all registered markers so players can determine what the cap is and how close they are to it, so they can get some feedback from the game and make the choice to delete unused or unnecessary markers as needed. As is, the game makes this a complete mystery that can only be stumbled on by happenstance

Cladsama MergedOnce the limit is reached, it is no longer possible to place new markers on the map even if previous markers are removed.
Now I can't place a new marker on the map. -

I can no longer place new map markers. The options are all there; but after selected, nothing happens when I try to place one. It's not a toggle issue.
Thinking there might be a limit on the number available, I deleted a few old ones. But that didn't solve the problem.
I tested things further for you. Logging on another character on the same server, I -was- able to place new markers. So the server seems fine. Logging on my primary character to another server, however, I was unable to place new markers there. So the bug seems to be stored character-side, rather than on the server per se.
I hope this helps! I do know that others have had the same bug happen (see the Steam forums, Player Support in particular, for more.)

Shellski MergedI am unable to create more map markers, unless I delete a previously created one. It would be beneficial if these could be increased.

DelveRizeRIt would be nice if the map markers generated by the game / quests wouldn't count towards the map marker limit.
I constantly need to clean old markers and place new ones sparingly because each large quest milestone (ancient spire, flame level etc.) opens up several new markers and pushes me over the limit again.
Also, the limit is ridiculously low for the amount of POIs and resources that remain useful in the late game. I've had to keep map screenshots each time before deleting a bunch of custom markers and notes outside the game to keep track of the most important bits.
Even if the main quest markers didn't count towards the marker limit, it should be raised at least 2-3x what it currently is, especially for solo play.
