New NPC Cartographer / Explorer
I did search and make sure nothing was already suggested. I think one thing about this game that makes it great is the exploration. You have NPC's that cover all other aspects of the game from crafting, building, farming, to combat. But no NPC really does this outside of the collector. I think an NPC that maybe even reveals locations of more out of the way places like caves and stuff to you. Can make maps that you can put on your walls. It would also allow for a lot more lore books to find describing the locations you come across in the wild. Thank you very much for an amazing game, i have enjoyed every minute of it.

ManzarbeitiaThe Cartographer is an experienced explorer who helps players navigate the world of Enshrouded. Found in a hidden outpost or unlocked through exploration quests, this NPC provides tools to improve navigation, reveal hidden areas, and support cooperative gameplay.
Tools Crafted:
Compass: Shows the direction of active objectives without opening the map (this is already in-game, the idea is to make it not accessible without the tool).
Advanced Compass: Displays not only direction but also distance to objectives.
Cartography Table: Workstation to create, edit, and share custom maps with other players (share map world between players)
Local Exploration Map: Consumable that reveals nearby terrain, structures, hidden paths, caves, dungeons etc
Custom Markers Kit: Placeable markers to highlight resources, dangers, or points of interest for the group.
Anomaly Compass: Detects nearby hidden chests, secret passages, or magical locations. -

Stroam MergedA surveyor NPC that asks the player to go to select locations to record or recover surveying data. Upon completion, it unlocks the ability to craft a map that removes the fog of war from a specific area.
Benefits & Problems this solves:
- Players won't have to fly back and forth to fully reveal the map, only to end up with little bits that were missed.
- If the map resets for whatever reason, maps can be rebought to clear the fog again.
- More quests that lead to points of interest
- Another NPC with associated decoration
- Potential tie-in with other map-related stuff -

mo² MergedWe all love to explore enshrouded lands !!
Wouldn't it be cool to have an explorer NPC that gives us quest to get to new place or find hidden treasures, unique décorations, plants, etc.
The explorer will teach us how to create a new tool to add marks on the map ( already planned thank you team ! ) with that tool you can quickly create an accurate mark on the map without having to "BE" on the map to create the mark.
in the mark you can add specific icons ( please not just 9 marks .... ) we could also add texte to it and even a nice picture of our discovery ! -
