Shaders in Cybercafés
Hello,
I’m writing on behalf of a community of players at our cybercafés. Since Enshrouded is part of the Steam PC Café program, our customers love trying it out—but we’ve run into long shader‐loading times. Because our cafés use PCs with a wide variety of graphics cards, we currently rely on symbolic links to store shaders on our central server, which then distributes updated game files to every client machine.
Would it be possible for you to include a dedicated folder named “shaders” in the game install? That way, we could cache those files directly on each client PC and significantly speed up load times, just as we do with other shader‐intensive games.
Thank you!

Toast Admin PinnedWe do have a specific storage place for our shader files, you can find it here on a normal install.
%localAppData%\enshrouded\caches\vk_pipeline_cache.bin
Is that not what you were looking for? -

Aethe3Has anyone verified that this is the folder where the shaders are kept?
Man would it be handy to be able to back those up.
Like, you know, if you had to uninstall and reinstall the game or something. Dude, yeah.
Super helpful question. I'm running to go back up that folder now.
