To craft the 1st level Hunter gear requires you to kill banshees. I would not personally consider banshees to be beginner hunter quarry. We should *AT LEAST* have access to the beginner hunter gear without having to kill multiple banshees.

JAnd I think some of the early hunter gear requires reptile skins, which you don't even come across for some time...
