Self-crafting of weapons rather than relying on random drops
What would be allot better then just finding weapons of green, blue, purple and golden quality, why not simply find white quality ones and instead and add enchant materials that the player then can use to enchant weapons on to higher tier rarity. I would also let the player upgrade green, blue and purple weapons up to gold.
I would do the same for armor.
Enshrouded is not a game like the many Diablo-like games where you go and "farm rifts" for your gear... it is a CRAFTER game, so you should farm MATERIALS and CRAFT your gear.

PaulJ++++ someone else who gets it
Let enemies drop materials that can ADD additional abilities to our gear. That's how you customize and make them special. Not pop a boss and a complete set of armor drops out, that's just weird.
Crafting can be flexible. It's not like you just find a material then slot it into your armor. We could have recipes that combine materials to produce stronger, or even new effects when applied to your gear. Practical effects like increased defence or frost protection. Pest repellent effect that keeps spiders away from you lol
Visual effects, like materials that make your sword glow with flames, or makes your glider leave sparkles behind you as you glide, or boots that replicate the trampoline effect so that you jump a lot higher than usual. Like c'mon there's so much that can be done, not just dyeing your helmet different colours. -

I meant it more like... it fits a survival-craft game more, if you can craft all your gear. Like in Minecraft where you can enchant your gear. Maybe not make it as easy as in Minecraft, create "enchanting materials" the player can collect, from enemies, maybe other sources, and then let the player craft a "white" weapon and enchant it with stuff you want. Or just enchant it and have a RNG enchant come out.
Enshrouded is not like a Diablo or other hack n slay game, where you can farm for hours in runs because that is the main focus in those. -

PaulJOh yeah sure I agree. Even after the current update they only added a tiny handful of weapon recipes. Aaand they're leveled, too... which means they're only useful for a short while then you outgrow them.
They need to give us the level 1 crafting recipes, then add recipes so we can level them up, attach affixes, dye different colours, etc. I'm just soured on the whole "farm a chest until you get the weapon you want" thing, because as you point out that goes against what type of game this is. If I wanted to farm gear I'd stick to playing other games.
