(Lack of) sunrise/sunset breaks immersion and punishes exploration - time for next iteration

The TL;DR: Let us set sleep hours. Ex: if blackout is 8pm - 6am, we can set speed sleep from 10pm - 4am. We still get time for night mobs/farming, and get to witness the atmospheric magic of sunrise/sunset. Or, simply, an “early bird” checkbox, where the 60x stops before sunrise rather than after.

And for the love of all that is good, let there be a proper sunrise and sunset; your most magical magic is going to waste! <3

The justification: Enshrouded is a world of fantasy, why not stretch the fabric of spacetime over life’s most hopeful hours, when embers spark and fade?

The blink-transition to progress-halting darkness, especially without a mechanism to tell time, extends players' window of disadvantage to something much larger than just nighttime - and to an unbalanced degree. When ‘now you see’ shifts to ‘now you don’t’ faster than you can wrap up a single skirmish, players are hesitant to leave base after first light for fear of a punishing mechanic that we should, reasonably, have time to respond to.

And by punishing, I don’t just mean “I can’t see so I'm vulnerable” - combat mechanics in this game make it so you can largely swing with your eyes closed and still land hits (pitch black still sucks). I also mean because this game is beautiful. When am I most likely to find a new area? On long adventures from home. When am I most likely to get caught in the weirdly fast transition to night with no ability to fast travel or speed sleep? On long adventures from home. Ergo, exploring - which we must do, which you WANT us to do (and we do, too!) - increases the odds that we'll miss parts of the very world you hand crafted for us.

Beloved devs, this should not be! It’s one thing to know the time, know the risk, and scream “Leeeeroy Jenkinssss!!” into the void. It’s another, entirely, to ‘play responsibly’ and have this forced on you. This is why it’s unbalanced, and why the community is in unison saying ’this is not done’. <3
