Procedural Character "Variation" System
What if enemies (and even survivors) had randomized visual variations tied to their spawn?
Think along the lines of:
Different armor pieces (light, heavy, broken, scavenged)
Clothing color palettes and material swaps
Accessories (hoods, masks, belts, trophies, etc.)
Physical variations (scars, glowing eyes, corruption spread)
Enemies could spawn with style presets that hint at game play differences:
Corrupted Variant – more aggressive, visually infused with Shroud energy
Scavenger Variant – pieced-together armor, faster but less durable
Elite Variant – unique silhouette, rare gear combinations
Ancient Variant – worn relic armor, slower but tankier
Even if stats stay similar, the visual storytelling alone would make encounters feel fresh.
(Bonus Idea) Survivor Variety: Daily Rotation!
The same idea could extend to survivors/NPCs:
Daily or periodic outfit rotations
Randomized clothing sets based on their role (farmer, blacksmith, hunter, etc.)
Small visual changes that make settlements feel alive
Imagine logging in and seeing your survivor hub subtly change each day—different cloaks, gear setups, or color schemes. It adds personality without needing new systems.

JBJust so you know, I did use AI to do the mock up ideas and reference. I didn't think a MS Paint mock up would do justice to convey the message ;P
