Small Mechanics for Class Fantasy and Role-Playing
I'd like to recommend that the devs consider implementing mechanics that serve to emphasize Class Fantasy and Role-Playing.
I will offer some examples to describe what kind of thing I'm suggesting, but I think it would be down to the devs to know what would be feasible/fit the design intention for the game:
Magic and Mages come to mind foremost;
Perhaps an ability or crafted item that allows them to use magic to mine/chop (no serious wizard does hard labor in public,) or perhaps a levitation-flavored alternative to the grappling hook target for base building? I know a magic overhaul is in the future and, while I agree that mages need more combat mechanical depth to feel interesting, I think **environmental** interactions both emergent and in the base-building would make the game feel super alive, for mages.
In the case of warriors, rogues, barbarians etc- I think we're pretty well accounted for. I know "more please" isn't very useful feedback in terms of design, but encountering ways that role-playing or specializing expresses in environmental interaction and base-building would be great.
Sacrificial totems for barbarians? Chivalrous Altars for Knights? Zip-Line Arrows for Rogues?
Again, these suggestions are mostly offered to describe what I mean, I have no idea if they're in scope- I just think the world of Enshrouded is very immersive and it would be so cool to feel like my *character* has a unique approach to interacting with it.
The sheer size and detail of the world is incredibly absorbing, the only thing I need to be completely transported is to feel like I am expressing myself uniquely into the world through my character.
Awesome game, impressive commitment from the team, thanks for your work and thanks for reading 1917 characters lol.
I couldn't find an existing suggestion that quite matched this so I'm making a new one- apologies if my search-engine-fu wasn't up to snuff.
