Name weapons/armor using runes as “payment”

As the title suggests, it would be cool to be able to give names to weapons like wands, staves, swords, etc. in-game. In the spirit of multiplayer, I almost always crafted diamond swords in Minecraft for my husband and called them things like “BONK” lol.
Using runes as payment with the appropriate craftsman would be a decent way to make it still feel earned while in-game. The item should carry the same name even if given to another player in another save file too.
As a former barista, I would name an ice wand “I wanted that iced”
