Add More Biomes
This ticket is also very vague so I've marked it as done with the addition as the newest biome, but that doesn't mean we won't add more biomes in the future. Please don't hesitate to make new tickets for more specific biome requests.
-Toast
I would like to see more biomes to add variety in the game. Here are some ideas I have:
- A biome of narrow valleys high above the Shroud. Typical enemies you can encounter there are Vukah and bigger, meaner versions of the goats from the starter biome
- A biome with very very high peaks and very very low valleys, so I can build an ivory tower overlooking the Shroud

KeltThere were only a few areas available in the demo, there should be WAY more available with full game launch. I suggest actually playing the game and seeing what is available before asking for things like this.

ZeggramLike in future expansions have other biomes like swamps, and ocean we can explore. With that maybe then i would suggest boats in the future.

Vixho13Biome inside a mountain, like a big mine, big shiny crystals, lava, lots of bridges and chasms

OrionoxThe starter area definitely needs to be filled out with more micro biomes. You spend the first few hours of the game seeing basically the same pallet which can get monotonous. A thick forest or dark forest or other valley/meadow adjacent biomes would help greatly in the first few hours of the game.

JJust want to add it here so as not to double post. With the glider a sky biome like the one in Tears of the Kingdom would be a neat area to explore allowing for ultimate sky diving and even some lore. Perhaps it could be a biome the Ancients used at one point.
A volcanic biome with very broken vertical terrain that has natural heat vents that make the player rise in the air (like thermals) as they glide over them could be neat too. Would make for some fun and challenging traversal.
I think it's already been mentioned elsewhere, but it looks like the world so far has been drained of water and is now glowing red insta-death fungus. It would be cool if there is a biome that has water that has been untouched and underwater exploration is a key part of its theme. -

oh.its.a.fayeI think the biomes in the recent release are just a bit too big - my boyfriend and I got a bit bored thinking it was just one and the same biome all over the map even after ~6-7 hours into the game. Yes there are more biomes to encounter later on, but it would be cooler imo if there were more smaller biomes or under-biomes, as in Valheim.

KortakI havent left my first biome yet..lol.. But more biomes is always good of coarse.. More items, higher tiers..etc..for release or expansions
-
02 Feb, '24
Ratchet79Personally I like the huge biomes. It makes the world feel organic. Valheim has issues with its biomes, often being too small as to produce adequate resources.
-
03 Feb, '24
GrifRThere will definitely be new biomes, because the upper half of the map remains inaccessible at the moment!
-
06 Feb, '24
SummanisI have no doubt they will add more biomes, I just hope they make them flatter. The constant vertical of narrow Shroud valleys and too-steep-to-climb-normally mountains makes the starter area somewhat miserable. I don't mind the later desert-y areas so much and the occasional cumbersome dam to climb isn't a bad thing, but scaling mountains is a weakpoint of this game currently.

HunabNeeded new biomes are:
1.- snow (its already in game and has a slow debuff nice one it just needs snow storms and please jusr dont reuse same wolves in white color, include yetis. Ice drakes, ice golems, fangblade tigers, bears
2.- swamp makes same debuff as snow with deeper zones of water that prevents dodge with enemies like naiad, swamp trolls, fishlike humanoid monsters, trees that rise from earth and tru to kill you, leeches in water, poisonous moskitos
3.-nests biome (like inside a big hive with spider web everywhere small eggs everywhere, this is where spiders enemy shines any tipe of spider, tarantula, scorpion, centipede, snake, flying spider giant queen spider, any kind of insect fits here
4- caves biome: ancient dwarven citys (like moria) heres where trolls, orcs, stone golems, monstruous bears, bats, ghouls, skeleton warriors, lucanteopes fit

CNOJAdding additional suggestions is disabled, please add this in to it's own:
Building into the shroud should be allowed if a fire shrine is placed near the shroud. It shouldn't be "build anywhere" but building within the base limits, even if those limits include the shroud, should be allowed. -

CinderKingI want to see more fantasy biomes. Floating mountains like in Avatar (not last airbender) with updraft winds so you don't easily fall to your death.
Giant glowy mushroom forests. Lush verdant garden of Eden, flame/lava riddled volcanoes.
Noted that I have not explored the entire map, so some of this may already be ingame (I really hope so), but so far up until the 3rd Tower, the biomes are quite boring and plain. -

TonyGames with varying biomes are pretty uncommon. It would be cool to see more biomes for sure but I appreciate that some of the biomes are much better integrated and vast. For example. Going from forest to desert makes no sense in some games, however enshrouded has a nice Savana biome! I’d like to see more of that with things like jungles and rainforests, swamps and marshlands etc. ALSO would really love to see temples in each biome that is themed like the biome or uses puzzles related to the biome.

MonzoEnshrouded is a game to explore. Basicly give us more and more places to explore and see news creatures, animals and quests.

Three SeagrassIt feels like OP didn't play much before opening a ticket here.
We've got four extremely detailed biomes, that have been hand-crafted, and it's obvious from the size of the map and its current "borders" that one of the next biomes to come will be snow-peaked mountains. I've been kicked by the "borders" countdown please-turn-back more than I can count, because I can't wait for those mountains either, but... they are coming alright. -

Luzka MergedBiome Features:
Coastal Environment:
The Shore biome stretches along a vast coastline, featuring fine sandy beaches, dunes, and small offshore islands. The waters vary dramatically, from crystal-clear and inviting to dark, gray, and foreboding. This contrast sets a unique and atmospheric tone, perfect for diverse exploration experiences. The scattered islands offer unique terrains and hidden treasures, making them ideal for adventurous exploration.
Enemies:
Encounter Giant Crabs guarding treasures and the Water Folk, fish-like humanoids skilled in water manipulation or diferent combat type
Wildlife:
Spot Seagulls, Tropical Fish, and Sea Turtles, each adding life to the biome.
Resources:
Find unique minerals, shells, pearls, seaweed, and coral. These can be used for crafting or trading.
Adventures:
Undertake quests involving the Water Folk and explore dark, mysterious waters. Discover hidden dangers and treasures, and face off against formidable enemies. -

Malone121 MergedA biome in the autumn season, with red, orange, yellow tree, just like EVERSONG WOODS or REDRIDGE MOUNTAIN in WoW. What do you think about this?

YuriyWould be nice to have a Jungle biome, because the Black Swamps are not them and don't have almost nothing new to collect. So, there would be new plants such as Cinnamon or Vanilla orchid, rotang ropes, Calla flowers, some exotic fruit trees (maybe Cacao tree?), a herb with a powerful healing effect, for example chinine tree or Cinchona. The new animals would be parrots, venomous frogs, snakes, jaguars or something like that. Minerals - ruby, mercury, obsidian stone. Wookah are perfect for the Jungle biome.
Vote for the ocean/seashore and cavern biomes too.
And should be at least one town or village untouched by elixir or shroud, with alive NPCs there, so there is a hope for humanity and the kingdom plus it would expand the quests line and won't feel so lonely in a almost dead world, where you have wookah, but can't speak to them (in spite of having the wookah language skill) neither receive some wookah quests. -

Hunab-Volcano biome is a must and i almost sure its gonna happen in enshrouded, a lot of lava, eruptions scoarching land trees burning with some spinting fire salamanders, fire whisps, those flyng parrots that are on every map but with fire, lava golem (game needs new enemies)
-death lands: something very dark with mist, death trees, that oil on new forest, with enemies like all the undead you already have + new ones like undead flying enemy + black slime + undead bear
-swamp: like a jungle with a lot of poison stuff, spiders and insect like enemies
Crystal caves : something like moria but inside a geode, with a lot of crystals spawning everywhere, bridges made of natural crystals and stuff like that, with trolls and orcs and gollems and spiders and big worms -

Gray MergedI've seen there is a plan for a Water Biome on the Roadmap, but what about a Sky Biome? Think something like Tears of the Kingdom with floating islands above the clouds sitting over every other biome with various puzzles to solve and the ability to build on some of the floating islands to make your own sky castle. In lore it could be tied to the Ancients perhaps with various ruins and stuff from their culture and add new points of interest that allow you to teleport up to them.

Alex MergedThe Water Biome is a lush, tropical zone filled with glowing coral, sunken ruins, and waterfalls that cascade into deep grottoes. Players can access this biome earlier in the game, using swimming, diving, and gliding to explore underwater caves, reef temples, and overgrown towers rising from the sea. Geysers launch players upward, revealing hidden ledges and vertical traversal challenges. The Shroud here is subtle at first, corrupting sea life and darkening the tides at night. Beneath the biome lies a sealed volcanic underworld, a late-game area only accessible after retrieving a relic from the Albeneve Summits. Inside the lava depths, players face erupting vents, collapsing walkways, and Shroud-infested flameforged ruins. Obsidian monsters and molten horrors roam ancient Flameborn forges. This layered structure offers new loot, materials, and enemies while tying together the lore of the Ancients, who failed to purify the Shroud above and buried their last hope deep below.

KidAdri MergedUnderwater caves can be found by diving, and inside these caves, there are treasure chests,Miasma roots, and nesting sites. You can drown, but to prevent this, there are specific plants and giant shells on the seabed that produce oxygen every 3 or 5 minutes. There are different percentages for how many oxygen bubbles are released:1 bubble at 60%,2 bubbles at 30%,and 3 bubbles at 10%.Each oxygen bubble provides one minute of oxygen.
Animals:Giant seahorses,dolphins,axolotls,sharks,various crustaceans,fish species,mermaids,giant shells, whales.
Plants: Algae, waterweed corals and many other aquatic plants.
Tameable animals: Giant seahorses or dolphins can be found in the seas and can be ridden to move faster through the water and axolotls.
Bosses:A large mermaid,a giant shark,a water dragon
Food:Smoked fish, cooked shells, a crustacean salad, soups and drinks.
Blocks: Coral block, pearl block, bioluminescent sand block (glowing)
Roof blocks:Shellroof,pebble roof block

superpebbleWith all the talk about an upcoming water biome i would be very excited about diving into a hot spring lake and finding an underwater cavern that opens up to see a cave with lava dripping from off shoots into the water around the sides of the pool your emerging from with its own different ecosystem and enemies.

AldiasAdd ocean with islands! I know there is no space for this as the ocean would have to be super small. But there could be loading screen into new area where this would be. The ocean would also have rich underwater content.

CaranthirNow that there is water, i would love an OCEAN biome with a dark Deep sea area. Maybe at the edge of the map. Just add a something at the playable edge so you dont go out swimming forever into the open sea. Maybe an invincible 1hit Kill monster at the edge of the allowed swimming zone?
Something like an Aegean archipelago. Also something to defend ourselves in the water. A Spear weapon. -

michael MergedHere is maybe some inspiration for new bioms:
Biom of Giants:
Everything in this biom is really big, the plants, the enemies and also the animals are really tall. there could be houses with huge furniture a.s.o.
Ocean Biom:
The biom is a huge ocean with islands and a deep sea in between. you can move with ships and boats, beside the islands are reefs. there are different big sea creatures in it like sharks and wales and a deep sea with a dark depth(you need special light to see anything), in the ocean are underwater villages and a deep sea city which glows in the dark. inside the villages and the city is air and you can walk in them. the islands are small and with palms and white sand a.s.o.
the huge vulcano:
It is a abandoned area with no live, just black stone and lava streams into the ocean. It could be one of the islands in the ocean. Because there were villages and also caves, you can find enemies and loot. beware of the eruptions of the volcano because glowing stone -

PuckAnd a sacred biome of corrupted ancients elders. Where the corruption of the Enshrouded has evolved in a different way, with powerful purple and reddish enemies, and which has been quarantined and abandoned by all. Where to find clues about this race and what became of them.
It would be cool to find an ancients elder NPC who could advise you on this, and special technology and blocks from theirs.
