Pets
Pets that may be summoned. (As they appear they are initially surrounded by flame altar particles until fully spawned in) The pets could range from wolves to deercats.

Astian MergedYou'll be given an egg for a side quest and depending on what you feed it and how you interact with it, the type of creature hatched will change and it could vary from common to legendary (just a basic system and based on monsters in the game or the lore around the game), I think this type of quest would be a really good addition and allow for a once per player type of quest and allow for some diversity between players that are in that server as well as just a fun interact side to it, it could have some random code to it where even the monster is randomised based on a selection from each category.
Thanks for reading my suggestion, hopefully, others are like-minded xD <3 -

spikey MergedI have spent years searching for and finally finding all of the Spirit Beasts in World of Warcraft. Sometimes taking 2 months to find and having to be in the right place at the right time to find them. These pets once tamed, will fight for/with you as well. If Enshrouded ever did this I might not ever sleep again...

Fi MergedI'm not sure if Enshrouded features this as it didn't seem to be the case when I asked during I think... October of last year, but for those that prefer to play alone, I think being able to tame animals or beasts as well as persuade and recruit humanoid NPCs to join us on our journeys would fit well into Enshrouded.
If possible, the animals/beasts could have equipment made for them such as barding and a helm while humanoid NPCs could wear the same things we can wear and maybe hold items for us. The animals/beasts could start off weak and have to be trained to be better in combat.
Coming from games like Dragon's Dogma and Ultima, I've always enjoyed having companions with me that can assist me in battle, and I think that could work here as well. -

BaaaWould really love taming/pets to be a thing. There's nothing I love more than being able to have a wolf or similar animal at my side in games, for a 'ranger' type playstyle.

MeGaYes, even if they are mundane like Valheims wolves etc, it would be a nice addition. There magic in the game, your wand to summon the npcs, so its easy to make it fit.
Make it so its just one companion, so it doesnt feel too much like palworld.
You can even make them auto banish / auto summon again if entering shrouded areas, in case it breaks balance, pathfinding or something. but for open areas, it would only make the game better -

Metodi MinchevI am voting more for pets at base you can interact with, because if they go with battle pets now I also need a pet skill tree :D

Syliefel MergedThis could be as simple to provide more variance or atmosphere to the game and make it feel more alive (since there’s a lot of empty space.) Could also serve as a stepping stone to tame animals that can be livestock as previously suggested or to tame as pets. (Even if the pets do nothing more than follow you around, would be a cute touch.) Since the map is set, there could be hidden gems in the wildlife too to make exploration rewarding such as differently colored wildlife (example: let’s say deer can be tamed and in a hidden location a player finds a white deer instead of a normal tawny color!) Or the player discovers a random egg and brings it back, utilizing an incubator to hatch it and discovers it’s a dragon whelp! Etc.

CarlFeel like pet would be a great addition for the beast mastery talent tree, but can only have one out, that kind of levels up with the player. And then maybe a necromancer staff that can summon temporary ones.
-

Paul Kocherhansthis would be an excellent perk for the end of the beastmaster skill tree, or perhaps multiple tiers of pet, building along the tree

A tired drone MergedHaving animal and creatures help in combat only if they are in the area makes the skill to unreliable, and completely useless in some areas, which is pretty underwhelming for a perk at the end of a skill tree. Changing it to let us tame tame and bring 1 creature with us as a companion will make the skill more useful and fun overall.

Holt MergedThis is probably because I attribute beastmaster to what they are in other games. I know it would add a whole new mechanic but might not be too bad since wolves already work with the human enemies. Having some sort of dedicated animal companion would really make the beastmaster a desirable path.

Florian Vogelsang MergedHey there Keen team,
I am really enjoying your game currently and was waiting since the closed Beta to get back into it. We (my Gf and I) were positivly surprised when we saw the beast master and were hoping it would tame beast like the Ranger in DND but it did not and this confused us a little.
So the suggestion would be to let the Beastmaster have like a pet, any animal (likly wolf) to follow him, could be like the will-o'-wisps from the wizard.
Many thanks in advance and good luck with everything -

BobbyI've loved having a pet by my side, but I don't want it just given to me. I want to work for it. I want to have to make my way into a dangerous den to grab a wolf pup, or a tall craggy mountain to steal an eagle egg then raise and train them. I like the idea of having different tiers of pets. Great idea. That would enhance replayability.

TriptychAngel MergedIn this world of fantasy and magic, it would be amazing to have animal companions. Not only for combat but for utility. For example, pets for combat like a wolf, pets that pick up items for you like a raccoon or similar creature, pets for tanking for ranged attackers that can pull agro and take hits, pets for auto foraging like rabbits.

HisuinoiSo pets would be nice, for example, if there were attacks on the base. The pets could defend the base.
Or pets could also accompany and support you by collecting loot, but also the option of which loot should not be collected.
Or support you in combat.
But either or! Not both.
Pet breeding would be really nice.
Maybe to get better pets. -

VexI mean it would be pretty cool to see an owl sit on my shoulder while in my wizard tower XD

VeriniumIf this went through it should be locked behind beastmaster progression. From everything I see, beastmaster is far too stiuational as it is, and having something like a combat companion would help significantly and also help an archer class with single player gameplay.

XioremIt could also be a part of the skill tree to Summon beasts. Maybe part of the mage or maybe something independent. The fire wisp scroll or necromancer skill are good but I would like to see more of this and maybe more elaborate creatures. Not sure if this would be considered "pets" or just enchatments.

VaRiDeXI think this could be a feature adjusted for in the skill tree, I find the Beast Master tree to be a tad bit underwhelming for what it should be. I do agree Combat pets would spice things up a bit and allow a more interesting play style. So would the pets die when they are downed or would be get a revive option or returning to a fire shrine revives them? I think a series of Mount and Battle Pets would be sick. I really would like a scorpion battle pet, each pet can be fed different foods that are their favorites to help them level and grow and the food is what affects their overall stats or each pet can just have it's flat stats. For instance boars are tankier, but can rush/gore while wolves are faster and can attack faster, scorpions can poison and grab/lockdown things in melee. Spiders are faster than scorpions do less poison damage but can we from a distance. It would definently add some unique playstyles. My only gripe is the difficulty would have to ramp up a bit to keep up,

CourtJesterCowboy MergedI see a couple Beast Master suggestion topics that have not gained much traction, likely due to asking for complex/broad ideas such as:
-A full animal taming/livestock system
-Beast related unarmed weapons like "Claws"
-Ability to shape-shift into Beasts
-Other players benefiting from the Beast Masters wildlife protection/control
These are great possible ideas I would love to see, but I think the BeastMaster skill line could quickly become much more viable from simply adding a node or two in the middle and end of the skill line that allows for a basic animal companion and possibly a mount option. -
01 Feb, '24
CourtJesterCowboyAgain, we would love to see it, but I think it would be best to be a BeastMaster specific skill node. Maybe anyone can have base pets, but the BeastMaster can actually take them outside of the alters range as a companion.
