Map Creator / Editor / Painter
Since the maps are not procedural, create some tools for players making their own maps that would be secondary to the main game map.
Another part of this suggestion would be creating an in game way to navigate to secondary maps, perhaps like a portal or something. That way a player could create/download custom maps and then make a network of them which is fully accessible by all players on the server. Of course this could make the memory footprint of servers hosting lots of maps simultaneously much larger.

MrJoshuaProcedural maps would be better and add a ton of replay value.

RudiProcedural maps would be better, but in the absence of procedural maps a map editor would be great.

AlbertThat would be bloody AWESOME! I finished main campaign and I thought to myself it would be cool to make my own Dungeon / Map.

Jose-LuisAnd what about write your own notes in the current play map, something like "cooper" or "forest" next to the icon? Is something I always miss in exploration games.

JamesThis was one of the main things I came to suggest. I've spent about 150 hours creating towns, cavernous shrines, and mountaintop castles. The only way this could get better is if I had the tools they used to create this world. Custom worlds would keep this game relevant for YEARS, player-driven content outlasts almost everything (hence Skyrim and its mods). I would no-life that world creation tool if given the chance, especially if I could utilize scripted events, trigger volumes, etc.

This game could end up becoming a host to numerous player-created mini-RPGs, which would not only attract more players but likely retain them for longer as well.

LibertyNew Suggestions is disabled, so I'd like to put this here as a request:
That the map can be zoomed right out please. It's hard always having to "pull" it around with the mouse the more I explore of the map. Finding it difficult to find my Home altars in relation to where I am at my base.
