Character Saves - World / Server-side
It would be nice to have an option to force server-side saves. This way progression in a character would be locked to what was done in a specific server, rather than having end-game characters invade new worlds.

I think this would be a great addition to another suggestion I've made, where we should be able to reset server progression, but keep player builds (optional, obviously). Please see and upvote as well: https://enshrouded.featureupvote.com/suggestions/530096/reset-server-progression-keep-player-builds -

RgrSame. Having someone join a server with a fully leveled and geared char is just plain dumb.

Enshrouded PlayerWhy is this not being up voted more. You really want people bringing their cheated pvt world characters into your server? Lock that to the server.

KaiThis would be helpful, it will deny griefers coming in with explosives.
And having new characters means all you need to adjust is the flame altar itself to have a 30 minute up to 24 hours deactivation timer, and can be cancelled anytime. -

Trynaxuz MergedThere should be a server option whether to allow players to use existing character or to use new characters only.

Toast System"Server Option to Either Allow or Not Allow Existing Profile" (suggested by <Hidden> on 2024-02-01), including upvotes (1) and comments (0), was merged into this suggestion.

GoodStuffIts ridiculous that you have to keep the game running all day and night when traversing a dungeon like the halls. I have a job, family and I sleep. i lose any progress if I log off. Who thought that was a good idea?

BebobIf implemented, please be sure to use a switch so the server administrator can set the rule. Moving a character between private/solo game and server is a double edged sword - it can be used for good or bad depending on the views of the players on the server as well as actions of the person moving a character onto a server. Recently had a player on our server who really needed to rework the skills tree, and we did not have enough runes available nor enough weapons to salvage. Another player had a lot of runes in a solo game and offered to get them if everybody agreed. We did, and it made the server game go better as the re-worked skill tree of the player helped all of us during combat since that player lasted longer/survived more battles.

WillThis really is just a crash course of weekend programming. Why hasn't this been done yet? Addressed, or patched in. I have a dedicated server, I should be able to have a dedicated rule set

SeemLegenDThis would also help against loosing/duplicating items when getting kicked from a server due to bad connection
