Claim Tombstone button and option to turn dropping loot off on server

There have been multiple instances where my tombstone was unclaimable without certain death over and over again - such as the side of the top of a cliff where I'd slide off. I feel like a "Claim Tombstone" button would be great to help in these situations. There could even be a cooldown timer to prevent abuse,

Please also consider giving an option to allow the player to choose not to have inventory dropped on death.

I have slid off a cliff into the heavy shroud multiple times with no way to stop myself, and now have no way to get my gear. Gear should drop at the TOP of the cliff, not bottom, so that players can access it again easier.

Would love to see items on death be on the ground where you fell to your death rather then stay on top of the hill/cliff face which is painful to try and receive. Fallen to my death multiple times trying to get my items back

Having your loot drop near ledges upon death can make it impossible to retrieve if it's too close to the edge as you slide off trying to pick it up and die every time.

*This is only an issue in the shroud as you can't build - Maybe that can be part of the shroud's difficulty ? *

Also, I've had my gear stay right on the edge of a cliff and if I get too close, I fall off the cliff.

I think the tombstone should appear where you body ended up. I fell of a cliff to my death. The tombstone generated on the very edge of a steep slope at the top of a cliff.

When falling off of a cliff your grave can get stuck on the middle of the side of the cliff where it is unobtainable. It would be nice if it would appear where your body ended up or at least from the top of the cliff.

How it would function: Upon death and respawn, if the players finds their tombstone to be in an impossible spot to reclaim, the player can open the menu, click the button, and the tombstone (and all its contents) will be teleported to the player respawn point. Then there may optionally be a 10 minute or 30 minute cooldown timer to prevent potential abuse of the system.

The game probably can't tell what is a "reasonable" surface because there can be a tiny spot you can walk on near the bottom but you can never get out except by fast travel, which doesn't work in enshrouded areas. There absolutely needs to be some solution to this though, maybe through a "buy back" from a flame altar or something.

Also we need a way to remove waypoints from death markers we don't plan on going back to for whatever reason.

To add to my suggestion, I do forget that we can alter terrain in Enshrouded.. I guess that could solve some of these instances, but perhaps not all of them.

If you cant grab a tombstone because its on a ledge where you slide off, make yourself a pickaxe if you dont have one and make your way to tombstone not so steep. Thats it.

Or add the ability to retrieve from tombstone from much farther away than normal loot, and not require visibility to it. Auto loot tombstone when in range?

@metodi minchev they already have fast travel how is that abusing it when you can just fast travel. OP is asking for it as an option not permanent change for everyone.

You really need to fix the way the game puts your tombstone in places you cant get to. I died twice where it put my tombstone on the side of a cliff wall that you cant possible get to. It should have put my tombstone on either the top of the cliff or on the ground in the shroud but instead it put my tombstone half way up the side of a cliff with no ledge100 feet tall.

Most games have this already in the options. This game is the first to not have it in a long while. Seems dumb and no it isn't adusing when you can fast travel already. Which is the same thing as Dieing and respawning. Just with out the dieing part.

Either fix the tombstone thing or expect people like me to delete the game and get a refund. Im not rich and I paid for a game that is broken. Fix the freaking tombstone problem. Im tired of loosing things that took me an hour to get because i cant get to my tombstone. It keeps placing in places that are un reachable.

I'm only about 2 hours in, but the backpack seems to drop somewhat away from the actual place of death and so when I have died from sliding down a slope, my backpack seems to spawn on the slope rather than the ground I died on at the bottom of the slope. I keep sliding down the slope and dying again trying to obtain my backpack, so it seems I may not be able to recover my items. Is it possible to implement having the backpack slide down slopes so that it is recoverable?

This would be a must. I died by falling into a larva river or something, where the sides were not climbable, and so I could not get back to it. Should be put in the closest safe place!

I'd like to add that we should be able to delete a tombstone icon from the map. I have one stuck in the red pit of death and it is still on my map. Feels bad.

I had an issue in which I fell down a cliff while just looking down into a valley. I could not get my items back and could not get to the edge to get them as they were on on the valley floor where I died. The cliff faces where I lose traction should be more obvious and my item bag should not be on the cliff edge where I cannot retrieve the items. Please make the items be on the ground where you fell or be further up the cliff before the point of no return. I don't fully understand the edge climbing/gravity mechanics that go on in this game yet but having the bag be on the 90 degree edge of the cliff makes no sense.

My tombstone is spawned on the side of a cliff on a section that I cannot get to. The cliff whips me down the side before I have to chance to claim the tombstone. There is no where I can stand to retrieve the tombstone before the terrain rips me down the side at lightning speed.

When you fall to your death, your tomb stone is always nearly inaccessible. When you go back for it you just slide right past it and end up falling to your death again. Have them spawn away from the slope so we can access our loot.

i BRIEFLY landed on top of a tree and then fell to my death.
the tombstone spawned ON TOP of the tree.
i had to glide into it, quickly press it, press "collect all" and the resume gliding before i died again.

NOT FUN. lol

btw, chopping the tree down did not make the tombstone fall either
so yeah, lets not have tombstones spawn on trees.
