  +1 to all of the above. The ability to have a location display a check mark (like the Elixir Wells) would be super super helpful to visualize what you have already visited vs where you still need to explore.

  So im noticing as i play further that there is no tick or clear indicator that i have visited a Fire shrine, since there are multiple id like to know what i have visited or taken the fire from, Maybe a colour change or Tick like you have with the Vaults would work.

  Yes please, it's really hard to tell which ones I have already collected from the map. It'd be great to have the green tick like we get on elixir wells once collected.

  Even though Flames Shrine sparks do respawn (as I was surprised to discover) it would be nice to check them of till server restart, to know which ones are already picked up.

  Flame Shrines are not marked as completed. Some locations get marked when completed, others not. Its hard to see which flame Shrines had been completed before and which not.

  Finding myself forgetting which fire shrines I've visited and collected spark from time to time so adding the same completion icon on the map as the elixir springs would be very helpful so you're not stuck accidently backtracking to the same shrines.

  Yes, yes, and yes! The map and all its shown markers are great but there is no way to keep track of each place I have been in my head. Why it doesn't checkmark these when taken but it does on the well and vaults is silly.

  Yes, please! As of now, my map is a cluster of custom map markers by each place I've already discovered, so I can tell which I've been to and which are unvisited. I would love a checkmark showing which sanctums have been completed. Huge QoL upgrade. Having to manually mark off which ones I've done is a little frustrating.

  I’d also like these to be usable as spawn locations when you start the game. It’s annoying to always be back at my last base instead of wherever the adventure was left off.

  With how currently there's no way to tell which ones you've been to - yellow squares next to the marker only add to confusion, as they appear on clearly completed areas, like Ancient Spires I can teleport to or Elexir wells with a checkmark on them, etc.

  I see your point, but the shrines do respawn the sparks you pick up. I do think It would be QOL if the icon on the map for things went dark when cleared, and lit up when respawned.

  For achievement hunters this is huge. I can't tell which ones "count" or not, and since I'm playing multiplayer it is extra tricky to tell what the server thinks is collected or if it isn't "counting" because another player picked it up.
  
  This would be a really great QOL improvement to have the icon grey/not grey for discovered/never discoved, and the little check box to indicate if the sparks are picked up or not.

  Yes please. I have tried to revisit shrines/sanctums for the steam achievements, but it takes forever and I don't know which ones I've already been to and not. Those are the only 4 achievements I'm missing because of this.

  This is probably because fire shrines respawn so they aren't mark as completed.

  YES, we base it on what part of the map is uncovered currently, but its easy to accidentally walk past a shrine and assume we've already discovered it

  ok, I'd appreciate the ability to just generally annotate my maps at will. If we could add a short text to one of the map marker symbols, it would save frustration and time.

  I think they should simply use the default checkmark in the same way as they do for wells, but then add a new one that shows uncollected sparks for the current session.

  I upvoted this. I would also like to see the quest marker "!" on flame shrines that haven't been collected yet. I didn't realize until 40 hours into the game that I needed to click these to collect the sparks.
