Capes, tabards, cloaks
Hi,
Just started playing and unlocked the full-plate steel set. But it looks a bit plain.
Would love the addition of capes, tabards, and or cloaks. Maybe they could be in-game customizable with special colors and or symbols.
Extra addition list.
- Capes
- Tabards
- Cloaks
- Dyes
- Items to make patterns and or symbols
- Loom crafting table?
With Kind regards,
Sharp_Stone

that would be lovely, to customize the character,
and even more if you could also give the clothes to your npcs to make a faction! -

Sharp_StoneI thought about it a bit more.
Besides just for the cool looks maybe they can also give some classes bonuses.
For example, the cloak can give a sneak attack bonus.
The cape depending on its form can give extra stats for the Shroud, Longer time, or for the beast master extra range.
And the tabard for supportive roles, like the tank and healer. The area of effect is larger, of more agro or even auto agro (within a certain distance).
It takes away a bit from capes, cloaks, and tabards for everyone, but maybe it would tie more into the game as you sort of can guess what class someone is playing. -

JamesA dye system would be great to add to this. Allow people to change the color of items. This would create some more diversity in appearance.

Pat MergedThe game needs capes, capes compliment gear setups. Could be a range of capes for mage/range/melee setups

Losco NosciutoTotally agree on this. Cloaks should have a dedicated slot, and clothing should become a bit more customizable overall

Jørgen Aleksander PettersonI personally think capes looks silly, but I really want some scarf or fur as an additional piece slot on top of the outfit

ZurielI personally really love the capes. What bothered me recently is that the Magician Chest has this really cool-looking silk-type cape, and before that none of the mage armor really had that sort of cool, distinguishing extra feature, which made it stand out a lot when I first crafted one. This was sort of disappointing when I finally managed to craft an Archmage chest (what I thought might be an "upgrade" in different senses of the word), only to find out it has no cape or cloak, or that there wouldn't be more extra, sort of, "parts" to it. Even if it were optional, or something you could wear as a separate piece of outfit, I think the cape/cloak would add a lot to the outfit and customization in general.

Flumby100% although some sets offer a visual cape, it would be nice to have a slot for capes so we can wear one with any set. Just modify the current sets to allow for this, e.g remove capes from the current sets

SeohI would like capes to be optional; I can't stand cape clipping. I made the two top crafted warrior sets and both have clippy capes, so I've decided to respec to archer or mage just to get rid of the best stat / worst looking (to me) armor.

KelanorEverything looks worse without a cape. Just imagine superman without the cape, he would just be Aquaman. :-P

ToastyGhostyThey could even protect from "wet" status when raining!
Edit: just noticed the comment right above mine lol -

TastybumPlease add capes/cloaks/hoods. They could be just cosmetics (without stats) or offer some protection against the wet debuff.

NohkuaDedicated "back" slot is always great-
Personally i would love cloaks that cover headgear (or even just replace headgear visibility in lou of the hood). The physics in this game look great, so flowy cloaks would add that extra mmmmm. Cloaks for added cold protection maybe too?
