YES PLEASE. not having two handed swords feels so weird in a game like this. just don't make the sword feel like a giant stick. its a sword even a greatsword can be used in a very nimble way as proofen by people online and it does not need to feel like an overweight metal stick in a video game.

As the title suggests, I want to see whips added to the game as a weapon choice

Potential skill options could involve using momentum to get harder hits, maybe some pulling (both you to objects like a psuedo grapple hook, and enemies to you)

For the whip to feel good, I think it would work best as a skill based weapon that requires attacking and repositioning... so lets say you attack and then sidestep, this adds momentum to the next swing to build up damage, so the weapon becomes effective against larger crowds and tankier opponents

Another element that could be interesting is to give it a unique dodge mechanic, maybe have it so you spin to the side instead of roll if you dodge sideways, and a successful perfect dodge gives you a momentum bonus to your next attack.. meanwhile if you dodge forward you do your normal dodge roll and kills your gathered momentum, however if you perfect dodge forward it would be cool to see the empowered attack do bonus damage depending on your mo

It would be awesome if we could use black powder weapons, such as muskets and pistols. It would be a great combo with the ranged build. Maybe dealing a lot more damage than bow and arrow, but taking some time to reload, making the character an easy target in close combat

I really would like to see pole arms as their own weapon type with a skill branch. Options for AOE and long reach poking attacks.

My other humble suggestion would be to have pole weapons as their own category with featured skills like AOE attacks and generally long reach attacks.

Polearm type weapons are always my favorite kind, and it's a shame so many games just skip over that option.

I've noticed that there's some gaps around the skill grid where you could put some spear related perks, like in beastmaster or survivor.

You could even make it a magic weapon so that there's a melee option for mages.

Add in more Weapon varieties for Two-Handed (Great Hammers, Swords, Axes), Blackpowder Weapons (Pistol, Rifle, Blunderbuss, etc.), Crossbows (From Hand, to Heavy), More Melee Weapon Options for One-Handed (Maces, Daggers, Punching Daggers, etc.) Orb Weapons for Casters, Tomes, Holy Symbols, etc. Add in ability to Dual Wield One-Handed Weapons instead of Weapon/Shield

Before I spew my idea, I want to say that the combat in Enshrouded is already quite serviceable. This is something that could come at a later date. However, on that note...

I saw many posts asking for one weapon or the other, so I wanted to combine those posts into one, and also with the addition of more weapon animations, or attack styles. First, I'll throw in a list of weapons I'd personally like to see, but are not limited to the following:

List of weapons:
- Greatsword
- Whip
- Dual-wield (whether it simply be an option for current weapons or even premade weapons)
- Fist-type weapon (claws, cestus, war fans, ect.)
- Polearm (spears, tridents, glaives, ect.)

Secondly, attack animations. As it stands, each type of weapon has one animation set, i.e., the 3-hit light attack chain, and even further, the 1-handed and 2-handed weapons share their animations with one another. Whether a heavy-attack chain is added or more animation sets, I feel these would be greatly appr

Great idea, I really miss two-handed swords. But this entails the need for new animation (holding in hands, for example), the creation of several models. Hopefully it will be added in the future. It doesn’t seem too difficult for the developers of such a great game))

I'm all for this. Spears especially seem like a no-brainer for a one-handed piercing type weapon, especially with a shield. Thrown weapons could be a more limited ranged option for Strength-based characters. It might be neat to see something like a quarterstaff too, but that's just the monk enthusiast talking. : p
