Can you Add Roads and paths to the map as we discover them.
Can you add Roads and Paths to the map. It is very difficult to get to certain locations. I cannot tell you how many times I have circled a cliff area and found no way up. Had to create stairs using my pick just to get up there.

Nobody in his right mind would draw a map and not mark roads on it. Even if they are only revealed in a very small area like a couple of meters radius so you have to walk right down them, please add this. -

Ashe MergedI love all the roads in the game, I'd love a way to have them show up on the map after I walk on them, which would also give me a reason to travel on all of them.

Brickiki MergedYes, please add the trails and roads on the map for regions a player has already discovered. Would make it easier to get arround.

SylviaYes! Maybe roads could get added to the map when we have discovered them? I have created stairs with my pick to see them gone next time i was there.

Arev MergedIs it possible that you draw the roads on the map once the region is discovered?

Phatlolol Mergedexactly what the title says - add roads to the map! This would help with several things.
In my opinion, it would aid with immersion and also just a QoL feature by making traversing the map and navigating to certain areas easier. I do a lot of mountain climbing by jumping and deploying my glider to roll up the mountain where I wouldnt have been able to do so without mining my way up a mountain or without a glider. (I did this with the mistbury catacombs and entered through the roof because I didnt know there was a road that takes you to the entrance)
Adding roads to the map would help with this by showing where roads are and where they lead, so that I or others can use a road instead of parkour if we dont know where a road is.
Another suggestion to add to this would be signs at intersections to point you to towns! -

Gokai GoblinIndeed, I too would like to see paths detailed on the map, as you follow them. This would give players some guidance in how to navigate the world without having to resort to digging bore tunnels or jump-climbing cliffsides. I've always enjoyed trotting down along a well planted path, myself. I believe this would also help people to explore and reach out better, too.

Daniel, Lucas e Gustavo Mergedi) Implement the "Auto walk" feature, alongside the ability to view the map in real-time, without interrupting the character's movement.
ii) Address the mobility challenges by enhancing the clarity of height differences and corresponding access points. Players often find themselves walking unnecessarily due to a lack of clear information regarding terrain variations.
iii) Expand the inaccessible zones and correspondingly increase the levels of the main flame. The concept of restricting free access to the map based on the flame level is brilliant and should be further explored by the developers! -

WrenOh my god, I really hope they add this in. I'm neurodivergent, so I have a hard time managing stress and frustration and I also have a hard time working out directions. Me and my partner have been playing together daily and the amount of our game time that is just backtracking, stopping to stare at our map, accidentally gliding off of cliffs and having to walk for 5 minutes just to get back to where we were, double jumping to get up cliffs in a way we aren't supposed to... The fact that there's so many tall mountains and holes, there NEEDS to be roads marked on the map. Why add in a road stamina reduction mechanic and not add the roads to the map?

LeslieI would LOVE to see roads added to maps as they are discovered. I spend literally hours trying to navigate around things to try to get where I want to go, and it is frustrating. If I was able to find a road, and then have it "written" on my map as it was discovered, it would take away most of the frustration I have with the game, and I could get back to enjoying and exploring the world.

YoichiMaybe at least for the main areas then that still leaving you planning some for the quest but makes travel from region to region a little easier

WJSAnd setting aside the logical argument that nobody would draw a map without roads, there are very strong gameplay arguments too. With the roads not visible on the map, players are taught not to rely on them, and instead to use forms of transport that don't involve roads like fast travel or gliding. Travelling becomes not an issue of seeing which route to take to get where you want to go, but instead just adding the desired location as a waypoint, aiming straight for it and just bulldozing through anything in the way with a pickaxe.

McGee MergedHello. First, I really like the new update. It's made some great changes. I really appreciate it! However, would you kindly add roads to the map? I understand the need for the map fog, but once a road, path, or trail is discovered, it should be marked on the map. I believe that this will aid the player in navigating the terrain. Thank you!

LozIt would be best to add a cartograth char where you can draw paths or separate areas by color.
The best way to do this is to uncover the areas. maybe you can assign other tasks to the cartograth -

I actually quit playing because this feature is missing... well okay for a few days.... I love Enshrouded... haha
But we really do need roads on the map, even just the main ones would be nice, -

NRoads are essential for maps in open world environments such as this. They help the player understand where they should go to reach an objective. Simply heading toward the objective is almost never straightforward due to environmental obstacles like hills, and roads help players reach their objective without the frustration of having to circle around until they stumble upon way a forward. For instance, if an abandoned city is on a hill with only one route that leads to it, that route almost always has a road. I can either walk around in a circle until I find that road (which can be a problem in of itself if it's the shroud), or I can see where the road is on the map. Exploration should not be tedious. Roads would be a valuable QoL improvement that helps keep players immersed.

VanessaIt would be nice, if mainpaths would be added to the map, so the general pathfindig isn't so hard. I also miss the minimap :)

RealTimeShepherdI failed to get to the hollow halls on multiple occassions until I finally scaled the snow capped peaks first climbing the hill above the starting cinder vault, and then utilising many pickaxes and altars to get to the top of the mountain and gliding down from there. Once I finally made it, I discovered the road that would have taken me there which I could simply have walked along!
I marked the road to the hollow halls from the starting location on the map to demonstrate why I found it impossible to get there having only a marker showing the direction:

AndyUPVOTE!!! It's so wierd that after travelling a road or finding a route to something, you cannot refer back to your map and find the road back to that point. Spending 30 minutes trying to get BACK to a place you've already been to is not fun.

ChrisYES ! the actual map is just useless to find your way or reach a destination with the right path. Spent useless time also to go over a mountain for nothing.
Just make the map looks like a map and then being finally usefull and visual. -

ShafaragornAnother vote for this! I would love to use the roads, if I could find them and know which one I needed to take to get to where I was going. I would be fine with this being an option you can toggle in settings, and would be fine if you have to uncover the road by visiting/traveling it, but once I find a road I want it to show on my map so I can use it again instead of circling hills until I get frustrated trying to find a path and digging my way up instead.
