Reduce the delay after casting
When casting a spell with the staff, there is a 0.5-1.0s delay after releasing the spell. During this time, the character finishes the casting animation and then is locked in place. This prevents the character from dodging or blinking away, walking/running, or switching to another weapon/shield. By contrast, when firing an arrow with the bow, the character is able to dodge/blink immediately after the arrow is released. This greatly hinders mobility while casting, especially because the "lock on target" distance is quite short.

Currently after casting a spell, if you try to block, the player will not swap from casting to the shield but instead just continue channeling the current spell. Right click doesnt do anything else during casting so u should still be able to use my shield. -
