Allow players to invert glider controls on the y axis
I'm used to press w to continue flying and s to slow down or land. It bothers me that its the other way around in Enshrouded. It would be nice to have a point in the settings to change it

When you're running forward - you're holding W.
But if you press "W" again midflight, you will fall straight down...

SSThis would be amazing! I've not played any games before that force inverted controls and I'm just not getting the hang of it, even after 30 hours... Dying to glider accidents because of mashing W to try to pull out of a dive, then hitting right click to cancel out of a glide because instinctively the "down" button just doesn't seem like the one to get me back up in the air makes up for about 90% of my deaths in game and kind of puts me off from playing. I don't think this feature should be too difficult to add, and would make it way better for customization and quality of life as far as controls go.

Jonathan MergedWhen I use the glider, I tend to hold Forward (W) to move forward while hitting the jump key to gain more air prior to gliding. Due to decades of flight games, I tend to keep holding down the "W" key as I have associated that with "going forward", but when in flight mode it's set to steer yourself DOWN. I can't tell you how many times I've steered my character directly into a nosedive to the floor, but even with so many times acting as a lesson to NOT DO THAT, I STILL DO IT. Please add a toggle to allow either Y inversion for gliding controls or specific key bindings for it. Thank you.

Mr PlumbBeen playing the game for a few days, with a PS5 controller, and I can't upvote this enough. The glider controls are HIGHLY frustrating. My 6-year old that plays with me literally rage quits because he crashes right into the ground with his glider.

LyteSo incredibly frustrated. Then I got the Albaneve Spire and it has a glider button challenge that has made me want to uninstall and leave a bad review on Steam because of the inverted flying. You need to pull back but then the second you land you walk off the ledge because of the inverted controls. This has taken me from loving the game to being so infuriated that I literally want to quit.

anthony Mergedplease add an option to invert dive mechanics for gliding. i HATE nosediving when i press up on my controller and it makes no sense to me whatsoever. i get having an option to dive but i feel like the controls should be reveres or AT LEAST have an option to. i dont want anything else inverted, im happy with the controlls otherwise (mostly)
the only other feedback i have is to allow a mappable button for swapping your inventory bars, or possibly add programmable quick item slots. phenominal game otherwise, im hooked! -

Nicholas MergedOut of a habit a lot of times I will hit up arrow to GO like kart games etc. As soon as I hit it i go from cruise in the upper stratosphere to dive bombing into lava out of control. Perhaps a gradual decline as to what we have now, straight to dive bomb. (I know I could stop doing that but it is also hard to control for accurate dives like in the Shroud Elixir with the Shroud Cyclops with the updraft glider challenge I died MANY times cause I went from straight to dead in a MS)

Kibbel MergedGlider controls do not make sense. They should be similar to diving. Jump/Crouch for pitch up/down instead of forward/backwards. The current controls are prone to nosediving and if you want to fluid change from gliding into walking you risk nosediving the last meter.
With jump/crouch this problem doesn't exist, the flow is natural. When you enter into a glide with jump you automatically pull up and you can already hit the forward button while landing without nosediving.
Somehow this was done right with diving... -

pickaxeAlso glider speed is not really a buff it makes it harder to hit areas where you want to land. Maybe add possibility to change speed by going down (faster) and going up should not be punished with more speed and with mana, its just not necessary. I mean a player dying because he didnt wait 10 sec for mana refill just kills fun it brings nothing to the game.

will Mergedunless im missing something entirely, it would be nice to have a simple inverted control while gliding. tired of diving head first into the ground while moving forward to gain momentum before the glide.

Patrick MergedCan we please have a separate section on the key binding screens just like we do for building? I'd like to be able to invert my axis for gliding, but not for regular movement. It would be nice to have more options for glide controls.
