One handed weapons - Dual wield
Hello, Flameborn,
I know there is a similar suggestion, but I think it is necessary to explain the idea properly.
As in other games, we want dual grips for one-handed weapons.
For example:
Two one-handed weapons sword / axe / mace can be equipped in the right hand and the left hand instead of the shield to use as a dagger, but with other skills and moves, more of a warrior than an assassin.
The original suggestion is shown as “implemented” but I think that status is not correct because it is not possible to do that in the game, there is no option in the inventory or skill to do that.

Thanks.

Some green Shroud melee enemies (Fell Warriors / Fell Swordsmen) can wield two one-handed swords at the same time (e.g. Acid Splitters), gaining high DPS and very aggressive attack patterns. The player, however, cannot dual-wield at all, even though the same weapons can be looted and used.
This feels unfair and artificially restrictive. Dual-wielding is clearly already implemented for NPCs (animations, mechanics), but the player is locked out without any in-game explanation or compensating mechanics (skills, perks, alternative DPS options).
Either dual-wielding should be made available to players (even if limited by skills or progression), or these enemies should be rebalanced so they do not benefit from mechanics the player fundamentally cannot access. In its current state, this asymmetry feels frustrating for melee builds and undermines the otherwise strong combat system. -

Eli Golden MergedI think it would be really fun to be able to go into battle with a sword in each hand, it would enhance combat.

Bongoboy MergedA big issue for Rangers are the many small enemies, like those Beetles and Rats, especially on a server with higher enemy count. I think what would help is to add a Dualwield weapon type that is affected by the Daggers Talents. As example add Dualwield one-hand Swords which the Rogue then uses similar to all the 1h weapons with flailing animations to help with Bugs and Rats.
Right now the best way to deal with those pests are Explosion Arrows or throwing Bombs but in multiplayer the resulting holes might influence other melee players. -

Saboo9393I started playing last week and this is my only "negative" feedback I feel like this could be made a capstone talent "as to not break game balance" but I feel like a option for a berserker fighting style where you duel wield 1 1h weapon and a dagger in the offhand
Or have the ability for forge a duel wield set at the blacksmith example: let's say you have a legendary bronze sword and a shortsword you can put them both in a weapon combiner allowing you to duel wield them with a damage boost losing the ability to block but gaining the ability to "repost" because I could see 2 weapons selected at the same time bothersome to have active on the skill bar -

RactrinThis game's combat is so much fun, but its missing that quick dual 1h weapons that aren't daggers. This game's combat feels lacking without being able to carry dual weapons. Just let me equip a weapon in the shield slot and make it to where I take extra damage on-hit or something for balance.

zmcfarling@gmail.com MergedSeparate the left and right hands into their own slots, which would allow for independantly equipping 2 different single handed weapons
