Weapons, armor, and other gear, should have randomly generated / variable stats
I love this game, but it is hurt a lot by all weapons having pre-made stats. There just isn't any excitement when finding new weapons because hey, they are all the same. If weapons had random modifiers, and a damage range, etc., it would make exploring and looting new weapons so much better and more rewarding. The possibility of finding a weapon with better stats would drive exploration and looting, making players WANT to delve deeper and deeper, always trying to find the next best weapon.

Loot progression in Enshrouded currently feels very disposable. Weapons are quickly replaced as soon as damage increases, making earlier loot, upgrades, and chest rewards feel underwhelming. Finding a “legendary” item often looks exciting at first, but it is usually weaker than current gear and instantly discarded.
Adding randomised item prefixes could improve this greatly. Weapons and equipment could roll positive or negative stat modifiers that meaningfully affect gameplay, encouraging variety and experimentation rather than focusing only on damage.
A reforge system, handled by a dedicated NPC or crafting station, could allow players to reroll these prefixes at a cost. This would make upgrading worthwhile and give players a reason to invest in gear instead of constantly replacing it.
This would make loot feel exciting, valuable, and worth keeping. -

Nick MergedHaving an furniture item that would cost a large amount of runes to re-roll or save a line item (etc.) would give a lot more replay-ability and options for making builds

CheshireKatt Mergedtldr: Loot is really boring. "Make numbers bigger" is easy to balance, but REALLY BORING. "Make items do cool and interesting things, even common ones, with legendaries being possibly crazy and strange" is harder to balance, but quite enjoyable. Also, this isn't a pvp game, so precise 1:1 gear balancing is irrelevant.
Right now, looted items are fairly plain. Random item properties are almost entirely "make numbers be slightly bigger". +X <type> damage is a power increase, but isn't exciting. The crit chance, crit damage, mana leech mods are more interesting, but still don't really change much.
Effects that connect (chance to do things on critical hit makes crit items more desirable, life leech favors more aggressive play and emphasis on bonuses to leechable damage types, that kind of thing).
% chance effects (extra projectile(s), aoe hit, chain hit, stuns, knockbacks, that kind of thing) make randomly-generated gear much more interesting and support specific playstyles. -

Koffa MergedA system were you are able to reroll certain stats on your (for example) weapon -> you don't need the mana? Reroll it to more health with certain resources!

ArpaColA MergedThis is the best suggestion.. it would be great to randomise stats (upgrades) of weapons armor etc.. now u know that if u loot this sword u get that specific stats .. it would be nice to loot that sword and dont know the stats it will have..

Hannibal MergedYou should really adopt a system like in diablo or last epoch or the good old mmorpgs. Weapons and armor should have different, random stats defined by a value range. The same weapon could do between 40 and 50 damage, have random fire or ice damage, etc. and different random enchantments for each loot. With a name that would be unique to it based on its attributes. Blood-drinking fire sword (fire + hp leech), invigorating ice mace (ice + stamina buff), etc. It would make the farming and leveling system much more immersive. Allow basic mobs to drop this type of weapon with a higher % for stronger mobs and bosses obviously.
As it stands, all my companions have the same weapon/armor as me, which is a bit disappointing. -

Nicholas MergedA random loot table similar(not as elaborate as) to diablo would be great. As there are resource servers out there already where you can go grab the best items they have found and any blocks/deco you need some variety would be wonderful. Like Have more solid weapon buffs on some items. IE Poisoned blade could be like 15 cut damage then with buff be 130 dmg through damage buffs in skill tree and weapon. Fire damage, cut, pierce, all of them could have solo weapons that shine and then others that do more. More unique(and Viable) armor sets would be great too. As fire and poison damage can be a big pain more gear with those resistances would be nice too.

DrawinoxThis woud be awesome. I'm running around with the same stuff for ages. In some other games I can find interesting new stuff everytime I play. This suggestion should have 1000+ upvotes.
