Enshrouded fog/Altar of the Flame build radius interaction / clear shroud with altars
Enshrouded fog should clear if an Altar of the Flame's build radius falls within it. (I have this as a minor issue with one of my chosen build sites and I see no real benefit to building anything within it).

Agreed. We are supposed to be beating back the Shroud, and the one place where this makes the most sense is within the Flame Altar's area of influence, i.e. shouldn't the power of the Flame Altars be forcing back the Shroud?
And, from a game mechanics POV, this seems like an easy enhancement since the game already saves all changes within a Flame Altar's area. -

Ghostwalker71I'll add my voice to this request as well. There are several places one of which is the longhouse fort right at the start that I would very much like to turn into a full build but can't because of a few small pockets of shroud that are completely in the way. Let the flame be the powerful force against the shroud and let us build freely within our shrine range.
I understand no being able to place a shrine in the middle of a completely over run shroud location, but where we can place the shrine the shroud should retreat. -

MariaI'll add my voice too. I want to restore LongKeep but I can't do it because there is fog on three buildings. I've been playing almost since the Early Access release and this is one of those things I'm really looking forward to...I'm almost done with the city but these three areas are just driving me crazy

CheyenneAdding to this! Even if it didn't "remove" shroud but allows us to build in shroud. I have an area near the first flame placement quest that I started to mine for rubble and flint. Now, I cannot fill it because it is enshrouded. :/ It's just a hole in my main base :(

Gucky5674 MergedI would like to build a house, however, in the spot where I planned to build the house there is a place with miasma within the construction area. It would be great if the miasma within the construction area would disappear because there the power of the flame is too strong for the miasma.

AuraI would like to add my voice to this request with this additional observation:
The Altar of the Flame cannot be built inside the Shroud, directly. I've noticed that Shroud Roots, and especially Elixir Wells, are well outside of the radius of what any Altar of the Flame could include, so having it push back the Shroud to an extent would seem like it wouldn't be deleterious to the experience of attacking one. That said, you shouldn't be able to place an Altar of the Flame in an area that is only clear of the Shroud because of another Altar of the Flame being near to that. -

Taiine MergedThis has been something I have wanted for a long time. Now I'm not talking about the big main shroud, but the smaller patch's found inland.
Like for example the small bit behind peaceful acres, it's just a pit with a few random bugs and a chest, but calming this small farmland I would LOVE to be able to clear away the shroud space and turn it into a nice lake. : https://i.imgur.com/pyqHYzt.jpeg
Or how my friend wanted to rebuild Rattlebleak, but faced shroud in basements and in one corner so they gave up on that project.
This could be a feature for higher alter levels to avoid using this to easily cheese these smaller shroud patches early game. That and maybe the max sized alter could be needed, the flame has grown strong enough to push back the weaker shroud. Plus there's many shroud patches that don't even contain anything, there just there as an added obstacle that spawns enemies. No chest, no lore, just a random patch to be annoying.
I tell you... it is frustrating sc -
