More dynamic, physics-based combat (Knockback, push spells, gravity magic, launching enemies)
We'd love to see some more dynamic combat, spells could push enemies back, a void spell could pull enemies in, allowing a melee character to deal big damage while they're all packed in tight. Knockback, the ability to hit an enemy into the air etc. This could allow for all sorts of team combos which would allow for LOADS of unique gameplay experiences

superpebbleprojectile redirection - a mage may be able to catch a projectile and resend it in any direction they see fit. (while controlling the projectile they use 2% mana per second. and costs 8% mana to launch back small projectiles 10% on medium and 15% on large projectiles.)
projectile vortex - pick up small objects in an small area into a cluster and spin them at a high rate. use them as a melee weapon or projectile. ( controlling the vortex costs 8% mana per second, launching the cluster costs 18% mana.) -

ReiYes. We really, REALLY need more interesting combats as mages. Currently the whole strategy is:
- humanoid ? -> spam iceball
- does it have fur -> spam fireball
Spam until OOM then wand. The end. This game is so elaborate, but the casting / mage combat lacks a lot of variety. Especially CC (crowd control) is missing the and strategic need of using CC.
1) Example spells (many taken from WoW):
- gravity stone (pulls mobs together at target)
- blast wave (pushes mobs away from caster and stuns them)
- dragon odem (heavy fire aoe + stun
- frost nova (a basic AOE cc every good caster game has)
- polymorph / hex / slow
- mind control / enslave
- summons that taunt / distract enemies
2) This needs the game to be balanced around that. So there need to be more events / areas where big mob crowds overrun the player. (shroud!)
3) We NEED direct hotkeys to "react" instantly with CC. The "ready your spell and scroll" system would be unsuited. Spells on action bars pls !
