Fall damage slider in difficulty settings
A game where you can run at lightning speed, double jump, and practically fly with a high level glider and the upstream perk has no business having such a harsh amount of fall damage. A fall damage slider fits perfectly with the already generous amount of difficulty customizations and seems like the easiest solution. Personally if this is ever implemented I'll be turning fall damage off completely, imo it only subtracts from a game like this. Nearly all my deaths anymore are from falling and that just isn't fun at all.
(I know this is similar to other suggestions regarding fall damage, but I feel like this is an easier more broad solution that I haven't seen mentioned yet. Sorry if it's too similar!)

PaulJIt's even weirder when gliders basically remove all fall damage. Frankly if the player has a glider equipped fall damage should always never happen; just pretend they flashed their glider open for the last few seconds before impact. I especially dislike the "oh you knocked into something, ok now your glider is closed" thing. It doesn't even stop you from opening your glider again. What it DOES do is disorient you if you fall between a tight space and the camera can't show properly since you're too close to a wall. So your glider closes and you can't see it and you take fall damage... that isn't caused by you, it's caused by the damn camera getting in your way. NO.
None of my fall deaths were because I ambitiously jumped too far. Like I said, we have gliders in this game. Then there's the red glowing lava, and the deadly shroud. Really, players aren't morons. We know not to just jump somewhere unseen. -

James MergedJust an option in the panel that allows fall damage to leave you with 1 HP instead of killing you. I play with a youngin' and sometimes they just slip off a cliff.

Fall damage in Revelwood Hollow Halls is absurd, and it's killing fun. Please add a fall damage slider to settings. Or if anyone knows a mod that achieves this, please let me know.
Good level design never included the guidance "You should artificially slow down dungeon progress by killing players every time they fall greater than 6 inches."
That's called tedious. Not fun, not challenging, oh, and not fun.
