Dynamic NPC Faction Wars
Imagine this, You stumble into a massive territorial conflict between two enemy NPC factions,
the Vukah and the Scavengers are massively fighting for territorial control, You stumble upon a marching army and another one meeting eachother to battle, the scavs open up the battle with a volley of cannon fire, vukak respond back with their spears and healers, chaos happening, There will be small scale conflicts at first with just the basic units, to maybe the factions throwing everything and the kitchen sink at eachother, this would honestly be a great idea to add some more dynamic events similar to the patrols, these pitched battles could honestly even show up on your mini map with a timer of when it's about to happen so you make sure you get there in time, maybe sometimes its Scavs vs the Shroud, or even the Shroud + Scavs + Vukak! as you progress through out the game it would be sick to see massive floating jelly fish armies with armored shroud soldiers marching on to battle.

While I'd love this, can the engine handle it? lol I mean the recent patch notes mentioned something about placed items in player areas, and those are just static objects.
That said, it should be pretty trivial to just add new spawns in close proximity; you can already make mobs fight e.g. scavengers vs Vukah. All it needs is some scripting to randomize it a bit so that you don't simply see the exact same fights in the exact same places all the time. Some zones might be forced to be flagged as no build too, because it would be too easy for the player to put down a flame altar in the area which would break things.
