salvage gems for archaic essence
It would be useful to be able to salvage gems for archaic essence. It goes without saying that this would also require the different archaic essence tiers to be merged into a straight single value system (the same way runes work for upgrading). The different archaic essence tiers is a weird mechanic, it would be nice to see it removed.

PaulJAgreed, and this has been bought up before too. Better to have one unified essence "currency" rather than several unrelated ones, since they all do the same thing.
I kinda get that with the lower tier ones they probably want to forcefully encourage players to use the system at low levels, but tbh this just means players will avoid using the system because they know the lower tier essences lose value at higher levels. It feels like extra cognitive effort for little payback, especially since crafting at lower levels isn't as good as at higher levels. Much better to have them all as part of the same type of currency so that it stays relevant. -

SteveYou can do this already, go to gem forge and click recycle, Use higher level gem forge to get higher level essence when recycling.
