Cannot loot body if you die at an altar.
Please fix, I died at my altar and now I can't get my loot because the only option it gives me is to open altar options with E.

Yeah the context-sensitive hotkey can fail when things overlap like this. This is why we need a cursor/target crosshair (or at least one we can toggle) so that the game knows exactly what we want to interact with.
Op's problem would not exist since they could simply just look directly at their death loot bag to aim the cursor and interact with it rather than the game guessing by proximity (incorrectly) that they're attempting to interact with the altar.
Like I said, there's an easy demonstration why mere context is NOT sufficient: build a doorway then place a door in it, place a rug at the foot of the door, place a torch directly on one side of the door as close to the frame as possible, place a chest beside the door and under the torch, then wait for an NPC to stand in the doorway. GUESS WHAT I'M TRYING TO CLICK. Am I (1) closing the door? (2) talking to the NPC? (3) picking up the torch? (4) picking up the rug? (5) accessing the chest? You get 3 guesses and they're ALL WRONG LOL
