Shroud visibility issues
The light from the ring reflects off the smoke effects while in the Shroud and makes it far more difficult to see in the dark.

drlaackenstein MergedYou know what would be cool? If your fungus helmet gave you the effect that lets you see through shroud- kinda like Light Burst, but without having to cast it.

spacefiddleMost light sources are not useful in the dark, which is unfortunate, if there's any kind of fog effect around. The shroud is of course the worst offender in this regard - even weapons with emittance produce too much glare and just light up the fog, it's easier to see what's around you and where you're going with no light source at all, or a very weak one.
I think the problem here is not the lights but how luminescent the fog is.
(on that note, the fog cloud from Gem of Corruption absolutely blinds the user when it goes off for 1-2 seconds, which is absolutely fatal. It should be called Gem of Shroud Flashbang @_@ ) -

Wilko MergedVisibility in the shroud became an absolute nightmare. Probably for a better immersion but actualy is just like walking in a deep smoke where you can not see your own feets.
I'm exaggerating a bit, but this visibility issue might have been caused by a shading revision. It's currently very uncomfortable and makes exploring in the shroud extremely frustrating. -
