Sign text should be a flat texture that's part of the object
The text on the Writable Signs is the same as the text when you look at something to pick up,edit or open a chest and always faces the screen when you move around it and pops in/out when you move away/towards it. This really messes with my eyes and takes away visualy from the game. The text should be a texure on the Signs

I really like the idea, but also the implementation so far; I think the best solution would be an optional implementation of both approaches. -

spacefiddleI was VERY surprised by this - it looks like the sign is a character and the text on it is its nameplate, just like another player - it vanishes if you're more than three inches away, it rotates to keep "flat" towards you as you move around it, etc.
All in all very un-sign-like behaviour 8)
If ARK can have sign textures surely we can too :D -

Peter FlindtAnd this is very good, in my opinion, sorry.
I have 3 chests above each other, with a little sign board before all 3 on the floor. I can read the text from a distance, day and night, the size of the sign is unimportant and I can read it with any view angle.
A sign board with a burn in text, would have this. Enshrouded have no other text signs, but you can test it with the Alchemist Showcase, signs with a fixed text like this would be useless. -

JustAnotherPlayerThis is exactly what I expected with the signs but then was surprised to see the weird floating text. I strongly strongly strongly agree. It's better from an immersion standpoint as well. They could add an option in "accessibility" for people who may find the floating text useful. I'd vote this up 1000 times if I could.

Tametheark MergedThe letters on our signs dissappear when. We hide user interface. I think this may of been an oversight as signs are onje ts and shouldn't be part of the HUD.

HaraldI think it's great that signs have been added to the game, but what I really don't like is how the text behaves.
I think a test should lie flat on the sign so that you can read it when you're standing in front of it.
