Skill Tree Nodes to Increase Wand Range
I love wand gameplay (aside from the fact it gives you carpal tunnel, see other requests re: hold down attack button to continuously fire), but I find that the range is very limiting in certain situations, specifically short- to mid-range combat. For example, Scavengers using scrapguns and mortars on rooftops and sentry towers are often just outside wand range. If your main weapons are wand and staff and you run out of mana, you can effectively do nothing in this situation. There are other situations where a little extra range would be helpful too, like fighting Shroud Depthdwellers and Draconian Vultures which both like to hover just outside wand range.
I recognize that limited range is one of the main tradeoffs for the fact that wands cost neither mana nor stamina to use. I'm not asking for a lot. Even a 3-level passive node with 5% per level would be satisfying for me. 15% additional range (or 20% with equipment bonus) would be enough to fill in the edge cases I've mentioned without the wand becoming overpowered and competing with the bow or staff for true long-range combat. I think this is worth 1 passive point per level as it doesn't directly impact your power, but would probably be willing to pay up to 2 passive points per level for this. 6 passive points is maybe a little steep, but the versatility that would be gained for a character who is primarily wand-focused would make it worth the opportunity cost. Alternatively, since 5% increments don't feel impactful to purchase individually and have a somewhat bad feeling, I would also be willing to buy a single level of a passive skill that just gives 15% increased range, for 3 or 4 passive points.
