  I Agree that explosive powder Ball should be able to collect low-tier materials they destroy, such as flintstone, clay, wood structures, dirt, and stone.
  
  However, I also think it would be best they become completely ineffective to higher end things, such as stone structures, copper, tin, bricks, etc.
  
  This would allow them to be a great method of mining low-end stuff, while still striving hard for the more relevant materials.
  
  Also... make them craftable.

  I'd make this a mid level crafted item (15+ish). Special "Mining explosives", requiring the explosives be made at the alchemist (black powder+wax or something) and the fuse from the loom (string+black powder or something). Make it a system, something fun to do. So you feel like you're really setting up explosives. Also, detonator. Playing with the explosives on a detonator can be so much fun! Imagine doing it in a destructable world!
  
  And require different tiers of explosives for higher level materials. That way it will save time on mining but some time will be spent on gathering materials and crafting as so to not break progression.
  
  You could mine and also create amazing cave homes etc.!
  
  I'd love to see this!

  that all types of explosives (except explosive ammunition) can be used to mine... throwing them at a salt, stone, iron, etc. ore will release the minerals or objects it broke or add a variant for the same use as an NPC called "demolisher" or something like that... anyway, I hope to see this in an update

  I like the fact that the currently existing explosives deform terrain. However, they don't help you mine resources at all! I'd like to see an explosive that can actually help you with your mining endeavors. Here's what I suggest:
  
  Add a new type of explosive that leaves a small crater and weakens the terrain around it, which will make it faster to mine with a pickaxe. Progressively stronger versions of this new explosive will be needed to effectively weaken tougher terrains such as granite or iron. They will have a reasonably long fuse and do less damage to enemies compared to the existing grenades. 'Stick of dynamite' and 'bundle of dynamite' are some examples of what the new explosives could be named. I think they should be classified as 'tools' and be craftable by the Alchemist.
  
  New cracked / damaged textures for each terrain type will need to be added so players can tell what area has been weakened by the new explosives.

  Sometimes mining the ground or veins gets tedious. Why not use explosives?
  
  My suggestion: when using explosives on materials that need to be mined (clay, various ores, dirt), make it so they drop when you explode them. Would add a nice bonus to using explosives.
