  Yes that's why they are magic chests. they should be credited while they are in those chests within a certain radius from the chests.

  It would be a fantastic QOL improvement if the construction hammer could pull from magic storage. Being able to keep all building blocks in a central location would be amazing. It would also allow a gathering/crafting focused player to easily restock building focused players by just dumping products into storage instead of having to get into gift range.

  Simply I feel like if you have a building resource in a magic chest it should let you use it to build on base the same way it allows you to craft from chests.

  It was mentioned that the raw materials for making item should be directly available from nearby containers. But what I need is that the basic materials for building walls and foundations should also be available directly from containers instead of carrying them with me.

  Very much in favor of this. It's a great QoL feature to be able to craft from nearby containers instead of having to pull stuff out and put it in your personal inventory.

  It would be nice if we could use crafting and building materials from the storage chest while crafting in the area where we build our house. Because we gather a large amount of materials, and trying to craft by constantly picking them up becomes exhausting after a while.
  
  As an example from a game, this feature is currently available in Palworld. It truly facilitates crafting.

  the magic chests should be linked from base to base (like no mans sky, chest 1 at base A is accessible at chest 1 base B) I know this men's you could only have 10 magic chests but they share from base to base its more convenient

  Would it be easier to implement a "construction Chest" or something similar, like a magic chest but its sole purpose is to hold the construction items/blocks. Could Tie the building of scaffolding etc to it if not a chest and allow the building hammer to pull from it directly.

  This would be a great QoL feature but it needs to be configurable to avoid having to scroll through the full list of all materials when building.
  
  Perhaps each chest could have a checkbox to toggle sending materials to the hammer so that we could pick and choose material sets depending on what we are building.

  Like others before me wrote, it would be such a quality of live improvement in this game if we could craft everything out of the chests. With the storage being as it is right now, I spent so much time running back and forth just to fill up crafters.
  
  I'd also love if we had the option to just dump everything into one or the other chest and every chest shows all the things we have (with a search/sorting option). Or at least let us name the chests. That would be awesome :o)

  This could even be a special kind of magic chest for building blocks only, that looks differnt, and possibly larger. Like a pallet with some different materials on it. Then you could also move it around with you along with a scaffolding platform for the area you're currently working on. (For those of us that like to do those things, so optional of course).

  The hammer would pull building blocks and terrain directly from your magic boxes, rather than having to add them to your inventory. Similar to the workbenches, you could tab between your pockets and magic boxes if you want to prioritize certain blocks.

  That or at least increase the range that I can craft from my magic chests. I have chosen a new place to make a new base ( Willow Crush )and with the lovely new npc/villagers abilities. But now when I did some cute homes for them of course it doesn`t reach my "center" where I have all my magic chests located. So i have to run and fetch the items. And yes sure I could place one in each Npc home but that would be sooooo time consuming for when I "come home" with new mats and what not.

  I'd like to keep my precious inventory space for placeable objects instead of having 5 stone blocks, 2 wood blocks, a pair of roofs and 2 metal blocks. Furniture and flowers take up a lot of space.

  I love the game and it's building mechanics. It truly enables us builders to have fun and get creative with our designs however, as I build new bases in newly explored areas, I found some features that could improve the building mechanics of this game and make it easier for newer and older players to get creative with their bases.
  
  Magic Chests & Materials:
  This suggestion is a simple one. Make the construction hammer take into account the materials inside all magic chests. This immensely helps in building as often builders have a A LOT of furnishing objects inside their inventory from plates and chairs, to cabinets and beds.
  
  Carpenter's Furniture:
  Similarly, how there is a ghost layout of craftspeople when you summon them using the summoning staff, it would be extremely helpful if you also provided a ghost layout for the carpenter's furniture. That way we builders could use them as reference for how small or big the area of the base u want to furnish.

  This is like the main feature I would love to have, the amount of building blocks makes it very annoying when you want to create something very advanced with high level of detail, but I do have some suggestions to add.
  
  1. The list of scrolling through materials would end up being very long towards the endgame, so giving the player an option of having a favorites wheel would be fantastic, similar to how many games have a quick action menu where you just press a button and move in a direction to pick the material.
  
  2. An NPC that can help top up the building materials in a certain chest or even a specific crafting bench used to store these building materials like a magic chest and give the NPC a place to work at and store items at the same time. I would consider this an mid -> endgame item though when you start getting a lot of materials.

  so magic chests are an amazing creation, allowing us to spend less time on inventory management when crafting, but why doesn't the game allow us to do the same thing while in building mode. I have to go to a basic chest to pick up my blocs before building. It's not a big deal, but if you've made magic chests to save us some useless trips to our storage area when crafting, why not apply that logic to building. Thanks y'all, have a good night
