Wand combat animation, and wand combat enhancements
Wand combat in Enshrouded would feel far more satisfying with distinct light and heavy attacks, but the key is animation style. Right now, wand swings feel floaty and slow, just idle waving with no impact. Take inspiration from Hogwarts Legacy: every spell cast has a snap to it, with punchy, whip-like motions that sell the idea of forceful magical projection. Animations are sharp, directional, and paced with deliberate rhythm, as if the caster is flicking or striking with intent, not just gesturing. Light attacks should be quick flicks; heavy attacks could be charged, thrust-like gestures that feel grounded and forceful. Add brief recoil, posture shifts, or even hand movement variation to make it feel alive. The feedback loop in Hogwarts Legacy works because the caster feels like a duelist, not a passive channeler. Enshrouded’s wand system would benefit massively from that kind of weight, precision, and impact in its animation language.

Hogg44100% agree. Can't bring myself to use a wand even as a mage because they just feel boring to use. It's the same slow one-two combo forever. They need more speed and impact. Devs should definitely look at the basic attacks from Hogwarts Legacy as an idea for how to make the animations feel good.
On top of this I think wands should be able to trigger Merciless Attacks (even if they still have to be in melee range to do so), Evasion Attacks and heavy attacks. Currently, wands just feel like you're giving up half of the combat mechanics in the game to use them.
Heavy attacks could be like a beam that does a few small ticks of damage then a bigger one. Light attack combo should be three hits with the last one doing extra damage (100%, 100%, 120% or something). Evasion Attack could be the opposite of melee weapons, instead of a gap closer it move you further away.
