Draw and Release System for Bows (Skill-Based Archery Overhaul)
Enshrouded’s current “load and tap” firing system could still work well for crossbows, where mechanical reloading makes sense. But for bows, a true draw and release system is essential. It would let players control the draw time and release moment, adding precision, skill expression, and tactical flexibility. Quick releases would trade power for speed, while holding for a full draw increases damage and range. Releasing at a precise sweet spot could trigger a bonus effect, rewarding timing and mastery. This system makes bows feel responsive and immersive, unlike the current method which feels too static. Archery should be about feel and flow, and implementing this system would elevate Enshrouded’s ranged combat in a meaningful, skill-based way.

PLEASE!!!!! I came on here to request a way to send arrows off early. In real life, you are fully able to just half draw bows, the result just isn't as strong. I would like to see something like this added. A full second draw (which is *very* common for the stronger bows), while realistic makes it quite difficult to use bows once enemies get too close, and add this to the difficulty of kiting when you have eagle eye and it makes close to medium range combat nearly impossible with a bow. Add this to the relatively low damage per shot and lack of a stealth benefit for long range combat, and it makes bows less viable for combat.
