Lack of food / starvation kills too quickly
When the food runs out, you're dead far too suddenly. Perhaps a stomach growl or other noises would be helpful. Maybe it would also be good if it took a little longer and you lost all your health before you died.

I like the immersion of starvation and turned it on in my first, and so far only, world once I discovered it, but there is far too little warning before it's fatal. The hunger icon is so hard to notice, especially at base. Three times, so far, I've died because I'm not quick enough to exit build mode and drink after the low health filter comes on. Not even a groaning stomach sound. -

PaulJI have the starvation world setting turned off because I spend way too much time building and it gets annoying have to be fed the whole time lol, but I agree. Imo starving shouldn't outright kill you, but it should be pretty inconvenient.
I don't agree on the hp loss btw, that's just a workaround that games without food mechanics use. Otherwise you could wear regen rings and cast a heal spell continuously to avoid dying to starvation, and I've always found that hilarious. No, starvation should be more like a temporary halving of ALL your stats, including movement speed and jump height. Not lethal by itself but still a condition you don't want to fall into. -

DeekayerI have stavation on, and carry food with me. I don't mind it, what irks me is the tiny notification, of 'you're hungry', or whatever it is. So many times if I'm building I just don't notice that or the stomach icon turning yellow. I only notice when the healer spell water aura kicks in, which fortunately slows my starvation enough that i can put down the building blocks and eat. It needs to be more obvious when you're hungry.

PepsStarvation damage should scale with Max health and take health regen into account to not get outhealed.
However it kills too quickly as a beginner and the screen should incrementally be colored more red 10-15 seconds before i actually start taking damage
