Voxel-based Heat System & Dynamic Weather (Fluid Tech Extension)
Description: Currently, stoves do not prevent freezing in high-level mountain zones. I suggest adapting the new Water Fluid Tech for a realistic Heat System:
1. Voxel Propagation: Stoves emit invisible "heat voxels" that fill closed rooms volumetrically (like water, but omnidirectional) to neutralize the cold status. 2. Containment: Walls, roofs, and windows must block these voxels. Large halls would dissipate heat naturally, rewarding smaller, cozy builds. 3. Performance: Since invisible, the simulation can run at a very low tick-rate/FPS. A voxel lifetime of ~10s ensures high performance.
Synergy: With future dynamic weather, this enables cold mechanics in earlier biomes (e.g., freezing desert nights, rain), making shelter construction vital and immersive.

For what, albaneve summit higher mountain region?
Weather in Enshrouded? Let's discuss about this first, because I see many other problems. -

Eric Petruschke PinnedAt this Reddit Page you can see a little visualization of my idea. https://www.reddit.com/r/Enshrouded/s/R31cc6bdzX

In this Post i show a little 2D Simulation...for better understanding how i see this system. -

Paul JThis is a great idea; however, I believe it is also overkill.
For Enshrouded's purposes, why not use a linear (heat source quality) * (distance factor) calculation. So for example a piddly little bonfire only keeps you from freezing if your ass is right next to it, meanwhile a comfort level 25 stove (or whatever the max is) will keep your whole upgraded flame altar area warm.
I don't want to discourage ideas like in the op, but let's be real. Freezing is a mechanic that's applied uniformly in the biome it occurs in; mitigation from gear is also strictly linear (those ++ frost protection stats). Therefore, heat sources that deal with freezing should also behave as simple.
Now if this was in something like Valheim, where you have to be mindful where your stove smoke goes out lest it can't escape and choke you as it fills up your house, you need supports for your walls, etc, then yes this is suitable. Enshrouded merely needs a simple solution to its simple freezing mechanic. -

BlafGreat illustrations you provided. However i gotta agree with Paul above - unless there will be additional heat source placement challenges (e.g. smoke simulation would be lovely), this whole system seems unnecessarily complex for such a simple problem.
Don't get me wrong, i'd love nice fluid sim, just questioning its justification in this specific case :) -

rTcI love this suggestion! Such a great addition to the game would let people build and spend even more time ingame, cause some of us love the cold and some of us the heat.
