Quick Stack / Deposit Station Location should have more range (especially vertically)
The quick stack station is great, the issue I am having is that it doesn't transfer items from you backpack to your chests on a different level. My chests are on a level below my main level in my base, pretty much below my entrance, this is where I placed my Quick Stack Station. It doesn't reach my chest, and it would seem that there is no way to pick it up to move it either, not that I have found anyway.

I wanted to use the station to store items 4m down into the basement from the flame.However it only works upwards -

Anne MergedThe raduis for the quick stash stations is apparently only going around (haven't tested upwards) but not down.
I would like to be able to hide all my chests in a basement and only go down if I actively need something, while having the quick stash station on the ground floor. -

TodlichMy Game appears to allow transfer if the chest is level or above the quick stack station but not if the chests are below the quick stack station. Could it be adjusted to do both above and below. Many of us have storage in the cellar or underground.

TheOldGolem MergedMy suggestion is to improve the new quick deposit button item by making the radius three dimensional. For example, I would like to have storage chests in an attic but have the button on the floor below so I don’t have to access the attic every time. As a bonus, this could allow for the button to be rotated and put on a wall rather than the floor.

revelwoodie MergedWith the quick stack station having a limited range, it works fine for people who keep everything in a "wall of boxes" style. But if you have a naturalistic village style base with specialized areas, with materials stored in a more realistic way (i.e. metal in the smithy, food in the kitchen, etc.), then you sill have to run all around the base to unload your inventory. Is there any reason the quick-stack station couldn't be base-wide? Or at least have an upgrade that dramatically increases the range? The craftsmen and workbenches draw from magic chests anywhere on the base, regardless of distance (unless your base is super large, I hear), so I'd think it could work just fine, right? If there are stacks of a given item in more than one chest, it would just stack into which ever chest is closest?
